the call was BS, ignoring it is silly

No one's ignoring it. The difference is in interpreting the impact it had on the game. A 40 yard kick return + a 5 yard illegal formation penalty takes precedence over a subjective 15 yard penalty. Georgia got the same call and the difference was in our kick coverage and subsequent defensive lockdown. I'm not sure that anyone's disputing the idiocy of the actual penalties.

It did.
It was enforced on the kickoff. IF It was a fourth down conversion, if it was i would buy it. But we had a great return and scott would have kept running anyway?? Does the penalty mean scott gets stoped at the LOS????

SUCK IT GEORGIA!!!

Where was this in 2004 at auburn whem lsu got screwed. You know what, rece, we are 5 and 0. So you and the espn frickers looking for an excuse, go f yourself. We won and you lost on your prediction against lsu. Goodbye.

Now, jorts, get ready for thunderdome at night. Hell in a cell, 2 enter, one leaves.

they mean the 15 yard flag on green but they made up for it with the 15 yard flag on scott
Yeah but that call totally changed our last drive. Had it not been called, we most likely would have been throwing the ball instead of running it to set up a field goal. Yes, both calls were BS and were practically identical, but LSU catches the brunt of it b/c we actually were able to capitalize off of it

I definitely didn't hurt us! Then again from the looks of our kick return and answering drive, it may not have mattered....

AJ Green never pushed off on his two biggest catches of the game either. Good point, Reese.

He is referring to the celebration penalty called on UGA after their 2nd touchdown. It was a poor call. Then the ref called a celebration penalty on Scott to even the score. Both calls were poor judgment by the refs, but the call on UGA was more critical given the time left on the clock, imo.

It helped, but we still would have had the ball around midfield with a minute to go with two time outs and only needed to kick a field goal for the win. I'm glad we had it, but UGA does not have that good of a defense. We still would have won.

it just reeks of a poor sport to point that out and almost imply that lsu wouldnt have won without it.

he always has to mention lsu was the only 2 loss bcs team to win a championship. It is ESPN job to talk down lsu so they can try to prop back up USC.

Intentional grounding has been called way farther out the tackle box before.

LSU probably would have won anyway. You could theoretically argue that it would have changed LSU's playcalling, and UGA would have had more momentum, but in all likelyhood, LSU still would have came out on top.

That was the correct call.

Then when we beat florida it will be because of tebow.

I think both sides could complain about calls in this game, but I think they should loosen up on the celebration calls. It takes away from the game.
