Everyone better get used to it. It really has zero reflection of our staff Bc they’ve clearly been killing it. As people reach out and flash $$$ kids are going to shuffle. Hopefully we can reel him back in.

It’s a little different when companies can now legally pay kids and not just individuals with bags of cash.

They will still get bags of cash above and below the table

Here’s how it will work

Wealthy booster tapped to give kid $$$ to come to LSU
Wealthy booster hires the kid to use his name image and or likeness. The booster runs a little ad that shows the kid and pays the kid an obnoxious amount to do it. The kid does nothing but get money.

Same as before

It impossible to even care or get excited about players committing anymore.

That has been the case for years and years. It has always been amount the biggest bag of cash and it will remain about the bag of cash. Anyone that believes these high ranked kids select the school they "like" the best is naive. It is all about the money and the NIL is just another way to give it to them.

Will recruits now want to be the biggest fish at a lessor school? Money will flow to the best players and if there aren't as many top recruits the money will concentrate in fewer hands

The end of college football has just been sped up.

Enjoy the few years left.

We have such soft fans. We may not have the volume of recruits on campus that Aggies have this weekend but it's a solid list. Some Texas guys too that are highly ranked.

Season cannot come fast enough, people for get its only July 31st we have months to go...

High visibility collegiate football pecking order. Five Star recruits lining up for programs dangling top dollar in front of their faces. It's not about getting a quality education at a great university anymore,it's about $$.

What a fricked up country we've become. All this so that fans can watch 'woke" athletes kneel during our national anthem.

Fine. Just don't ask me to subsidize semi-pro collegiate football athletes with my tax dollars. Semi-pro collegiate athletes in collegiate feeder programs for a 'woke' NFL.

This will not turn out well.

I don't think you've seen nothing yet.

Does LSU flourish in this new age of NIL without a black budget?

I’m guessing he means a budget in the black.

ETA: But, he doesn’t think you’ve seen nothing so that means he thinks we’ve seen something.

Probably because the HS Player has no amateur college eligibility in exchange for the money. Stop calling it amateur then.

Bama has the most to lose , because Texas, and Atm can outspend them by a mile and now do it openly? At some point it comes down to flat out winning. Bama, Clemson, Ohio state have the monopoly right now. If we win can beat Atm, and Bama this season it gives us a fighting chance to keep getting elite recruits.

Consider this... it's the 1st time LSU has a verbal commit from a 5* OT, and 5* QB since before Saban left. If we land the other 5* OL, and Shemar *5 we could get the #1 recruiting class in the country. Let that sink in...

LSU has an outside shot at the playoff this season if we get in it will be us, Bama, Ohio state, and Clemson. I like our chances.
