Go look at how many WRs, CBs, Defensive linemen.
And another problem is the ones that we did recruit aren’t playing or transferred.

Class of 22

Most of us knew this but overlooked the bigger picture because of 22 winning SEC West and then last year our offense was loaded with JD, Nabers and BTJ.

This isn’t a pickup game of transfer portal players because you have to be very lucky.

No luck for
Florida State sucks
Ole Miss has to get lucky with 2 losses.
A$M isn’t undefeated with no players from 22 Super Class.

You have to build a foundation and it hurt us the last two games and USC game.
We are not ready to play the entire season elite.

Last night sucked but we know other games were telling us we were not ready.

Yep, so we expected Kelly to have us in title contention fast. But this year we see what an avg WR corps, weak overall DL and poor interior OL do to an SEC team as the season goes on.

The roster still has a lot of holes, so holding on to the incoming class is vital. arse kickings two weeks in a row doesn’t help.

Great post.

The '23 Class was ranked like #6 nationally. If that were so, and having the roster deficiencies which BK inherited, then that should have resulted in early PT and we should be seeing several super-sophs now contributing. But we don't.

Yup. Clayton, Spears, and Hill were in Saban's first big class at LSU. Saw them all playing significantly their freshman years.

Reading that list and seeing how many are still on the team versus who isn’t and who is projected to go pro. That first class is gone, as well as the portal class. That’s just brutal.

I fully realize it's pile on BK week so I try to measure my criticism but if we take a step back, it seems as if he's done a poor job of restoring the roster thus far.

Yes, he inherited a mess. And to his credit he cobbled together an OL and secondary and won the SECW in year 1. Props. But concurrent with that has been poor recruiting and modest success in the portal. We still do not have an SEC championship level roster nor will we next year.

Year 3 and 4 and we can't blame the rooster mess anymore. It was better than what prime or coaches at Illinois started with

BS. The roster was empty. And those teams are not in the SEC.
