Clemson has adopted the Bama model of flagrantly giving their D Linemen PEDs and presuming nobody will call them on it. I mean, it works. Our O Linemen get thrown around like rag dolls every year the first week of November. Only thing missing is the Ivan Drago punch-o-meter.

Scoring would be a good start.

Don't forget to add a bag of "Scoring Points" in the pot.

Clemson's DB's kept eyes on Tua in Man AND Zone coverage - gave Tua fits (and let to 2 picks).

Definitely. Getting a single point on the board would be a good start. Hopefully O and E can put their heads together and figure out a way to make that happen.

Hi, Buckeye Jeaux!

Why aren't you sticking to your self-banning? 2 months starting yesterday. LINK

Can I play devils advocate?

Mississippi St had 2 DL drafted in the 1st round.
3 Defensive players drafted in the 1sr round.

By this logic Mississippi St should have given Bama a hell of a game right?

Clemson just had 3 DL taken in the first 17 picks. That’s where we need to get to or at least close to that.

How did Clemson do against Alabama with Kelly Bryant as QB? Now look at what they did with Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence.

DL is huge but nowhere near as important as an elite QB with a viable offensive system.

Danny Etling scored a TD vs Bama. He did better in that regard than Burrow, but neither were any great shakes v Saban's team

I think we saw In the spring game what they plan to do to alleviate that. Quick drop backs, and quick short 5-6 yard passes.

If that’s what we’re going to rely on to beat Bama, then get ready for another loss. You have to win at the LOS. Period. There is no secret scheme or playbook. Beat their asses, man to man.

Wrong. Before Tua and Hurts, Bama were always great at two things: the OL and run game. AJ McArron and Greg McElroy are not elite QBs. But they had a nasty OL and brutal RBs. Doesn’t take Drew Brees to run an offense that has so much invested up front. Bama is good because they are nasty in the trenches.

ETA: Clemson and Lawrence are good because they are stout up front. They beat Bama head to head up front. Lawrence is a great QB, but he better be very thankful to his guys protecting him.
