Jordy Rush and Chris Blair hosted the show.

They had an interesting take on the new WR's coach. Pretty much if you can't get off the line in press coverage, run precise routes and catch the ball you will not play in the games. Apparently all the WR's that played (9 caught passes) had great practices last week. Do good and you get rewarded.

Coach Eaux seemed very focused. No rah-rah for this show.

Oline did a very good job. Coach Cregg did a great job. Freshman center did good in limited action.

WR's had their best game of the season. they are making progress.

Corey and Bill did good jobs having the DB's prepared for the Ole miss passing attack.

Tremendous night for Grant Delpit.

Only punted one time.

Have to protect the ball better.

Need to have a better pass rush.

Big game for LSU, knows it's a big game for the Gators.

UF has a great turnover margin - think he said they are +9.

Strength for UF is their defense.

He has coached with a lot of the coaches on the UF staff. Two were with him at Syracuse.

Happy to be Five-Eaux but the coaches and players are nowhere close to being satisfied.

New coaching staff at UF. They do have stuff to look at from old UF and Miss St. he is good friends with Mullen.

The mindset has to be to win the game when they get on the plane. No distractions like fights before the game. Rashard and Devin took over the team last year.

Liked hearing Tom Petty's "we won't back down". The LSU team was singing it also.

Eaux decided to try to draw Ole Miss offsides after having the punt team took the field. It was recommended to him and therefore was a Staff decision.

Felipe Franks is running the ball better. Dan is a big running QB coach. Likes them to be mobile. Dan is giving him throws he can make.

Eaux talked at the Miss State football clinic. He spent a couple days with the staff.

This was the biggest game for yards after the catch. Jefferson did a good job evading tacklers. Slinger had his best game dialing and mixing it up.

LSU was ranked 13th in the SEC in yards after catch coming into the game - 41.5 yac and in the OM game had 116 a season high.

Told Steve they needed to make a statement on a drive and Slinger delivered.

Cole Smith did good. His first chance to play. Doesn't know how much Lloyd will practice so he is going to have to practice. No backup center if he has to play.

Eaux on what he needs to see from Saahdiq to know he's ready to play "I just need to see him in a stance. That'd be good enough for me."

Sullivan, Dee, Racey were all very excited last week.

Aranda was doing all the breakdown work last season. this year the analysts are helping with the coaching staff being more organized and prepared for game week.

Ole Miss was a struggle. To get the right calls. To make sure they didn't hit the home run balls. They never felt like they had put them away.

Had good pressure on QB but missed a lot on contain. Let the OM QB roll out too many times. the four man rush is not where it needs to be.

biggest surprise:
Jacob Phillips - has matured. One of the best players on the team.
Grant Delpit - Bill and having two DB coaches has made a huge difference for the team.
Knew defense would be solid, believed LSU could run the ball. The passing game against Ole Miss was what he expected all year. Finally got the receivers in the right spots.

Fehoko came here to get coached up. His dad was working out in the weight room curling 120 pound dumb bells on a visit and blew Eaux away. That's when he knew if he signed Breiden he would have to play.

Was important to run for a lot of yards against OM. Jeaux has a lot more confidence. Racey is like getting a new player in his position.

The Oline is creating depth. Saahdiq should return this week.

Only have 2 QB's so have to be careful running the QB's. Need to keep them healthy.

He likes Neck. But it's not his business. he likes the tune but not the words that come with it.

Racey is physical and block. Moving him to TE was like getting a free agent. Brings a new attitude to practice. Big guy who likes to block and be physical.

Everything is paraphrased as the show was live and went pretty fast.

fresh Take with Coach Eaux

Jeaux's stare is much better than Ronnie Bass'.

Thanks for all of the updates. Hard to argue with any of Orgeron's takes there.

Actually, Ree, for more accuracy please edit to clarify that he knows Mullen from being GA's together at Syracuse. Mullen was one of the two coaches you reference, but it isn't entirely clear from your recap. Don't let it happen again.

I think Eaux is finally learning and trusting his staff. It went off the rails last season. But I'll admit, the guy is getting better at this. The team looked totally unprepared to start last season. Completely diff story now.

Thanks Ree. Coach O sounds like a head coach who is in control of all aspects of his team. He has his fingers on the pulse. I’m glad he’s here and can’t wait to see the rest of the season play out.

Lol, is there a staff in the country that doesn’t have someone O coached with?

I don't think so. Not anyone that LSU plays anyway.

I'm most excited about these 3. What an incredible weapon to have on 3rd downs. Need to throw more in the redzone with them.

It's not a "show", dipshit. It's a press conference. There is no "rah-rah" at a press conference.

It's who they introduced to start the show. Is that not his name?

That is your reply to anyone who corrects your mistakes. Why would pointing out mistakes equate to having a bad day? I don't see the correlation.
