1. Easier schedule. Only one tough road game (Florida)
2. 18 returning starters
3. Returning starting QB. He's gained good weight and is going to be a top 3 sec QB
4. Bama will be down.

We may be a good team but a win over Bama is never a guarantee. Still a very losable game

lets just hope the team will not walk out the gate at Lambeau with this attitude. Also, @ AU where we traditionally struggle and MSU that should have beat us a season ago and the Gumps seem to have our # but we can certainly say this and the bar is really set high. I am ready for a championship type season!

1. The schedule isn't "easier". Yes, we have better teams at home, which is an advantage, but I wouldn't say the schedule is easier.
2. Yes, 18 returning starters is a big deal
3. I've argued this for a long time - yes, it's good that our QB is returning, but he's got to produce. Returning starter, in and of itself, isn't nearly enough. And I don't care one iota that he's "gained weight" unless it helps him complete passes.
4. Dumbest part of the thread. What in the world makes you think Bama will be down? They freaking reload every year- and PRODUCE with those new players.

All that said, I'm ready for a big year!!

No Mississippi State shouldn't have beaten us last year. If anything we should have beaten them by 20+. That was typical miles taking his foot off the gas way too early in the game. But I do agree with rest of your statement though

Arkansas has beaten us by 17 points the last two years. All of a sudden, going to Fayetteville is going to be an easy road game?

bama just reloads. Equal talent. Better coaching staff goes to bama. They have an innovative offense good enough to keep defenses guessing. We don't. Fact not fiction. Nothing has changed since last year. Nothing has changed. bama wins.

Arkansas lost a lot of their better players. LSU sends a lot more good players to the NFL every year, but for the piggies, this is a BIG DEAL. I expect the Razorbacks to take a step back. I would love for the Tigers to play like the game mattered to them though.

basically everything has set this up for a national title run

barring major injuries, if we don't win the conference this year, then it is a disaster of season

5. Losing weight. Because watching LSU football games under the direction of coach Miles is a workout.

Cool. They have still beat us two years in a row. Handedly. The last time we played up there, our team was sipping Swiss Miss hot chocolate while they were kicking our skulls in to the tune of 17-0. In fact, we haven't won big playing at Arkansas (Fayetteville or Little Rock) since 2004.

Point being, it won't be an easy game.

Understatement haha.
Bama should be favored against us in every game until we win again. Their personnel and defensive approach is a hard counter to our "line up and beat your man" philosophy on offense. It is the one team that has players where our guys simply cant "beat their man"
