If Brennan can’t beat Arkansas we are in trouble next year. He needs a couple drives at least

Giving him drives maybe cost us the Troy game. I would rather win games now then to prepare one player over the remaining 21 starters and numerous rotational players.

Brennan will get plenty of chances next year

You guys are a trip!! There are almost 200 D1 schools playing football and I can name 6 true freshmen QBs that have started this year. That must mean all the rest of the back up QBs suck because they can't beat out the starters. Oh and the 6 that are starting are doing so due to injuries to the older more experienced QBs that got hurt. The teams this year that have Elite freshmen QBs are playing them in situations to get them play time and experience for next year. It is only at LSU that the fan base thinks that if you're not playing immediately you must suck, are not good enough and therefore it's time for the next victim to step up on the gallows.

As I said if your good your good. All this BS about meaningful snaps is meaningless. Its just a feel good thing done for fans.

This is nonsense. Some guys need to develop, and some are good out the gate. A lot of freshman/redshirt freshman QBs that are good out of the gate have really good supporting casts. Both Winston and Manziel had great OLs, great receiving corps, and great run game to go along with them. Look at Rosen and that guy from Penn State a few years back. Both were amazingly highly touted QBs that looked great as freshman. Lost a lot of the supporting cast around them, and looked like arse as sophomores.

Dak Prescott is the latest in a guy who had to develop into the type of QB he is today.

He had some goal line packages. I wouldn't call that meaningful.

How many solely backup QBs do you know, run 122 plays as true freshman? Dude had 827 yards from scrimmage (10.8 ypa 5.3 ypc), and 13 total TDs. He had 8+ touches vs UCF, Bama, LSU, Vandy, W. Carolina, Arkansas, and Ohio St.Four of those teams were 9+ win teams.

Why put him in to hand the ball off. We were running the clock.

ding ding ding! Great observation!

This past offseason, I thought Brennan would be starting "for sure" by mid season. That obviously has not happened. Etling certainly is no world beater despite qb rating & Canada hiding him with high percentage throws.

Sad thing is we are going into next season with the same old "?" at qb once again. Q. Brennan or Narcisse A. When you have two qb's you don't have one.

I think Brennan probably sling the ball around a little too much.

If we want to get to the level of QB play we want they have to sling it around alittle and dial it back imho

We will always be game management it seems

Why? He won't be the starter next season. So why screw Danny Etling's career to play a player that won't even be the starter next season? Give me a break.

Where did this Brennan not being the starter narrative come from? No one has seen Narcisse even take a snap in D1 football or knows if his knees will even hold up and you know for a fact that he'll be the starter? This place.

Why? because the coaches on the rant say so?

The head coach fricking said so. Then went back on it. The fans ate that shite up. Because the narrative was that Les didn't give any of the young QBs enough pt during the season to prepare them for the next.

Goebbels doing work again.

shite, just a few weeks ago he said he never planned on playing Myles in an sec game. Then he plays the dude against bama.

And if he had thrown a pick 6 all of you would have been screaming for Orgeron's head, " WTF is he doing? No need to play him."

So...throw safe, high percentage stuff....and let him hand the ball off. He needs game experience.

That's not really that beneficial if he's not actually replicating game conditions.

if we wouldn't have missed the FG and two extra pts, it would have been 31-10, and he comes in for some mop up. 26-10 is still a 2-score game...

We were very sluggish with points in that game, period. When you return a punt to the 50, you have to score points, even on the first drive of the game. Second drive started near mid-field, and we got to FG range and missed it. Score at the end of the first quarter should have been 13-0 (or 17-0) instead of 7-0. One big play from getting tied.

4th drive stalled at the 38. Team has to get better at scoring and a little stingier on defense.

The game against Arkansas should have gotten into the upper 40s if not 50.
