You like having top shelf training facilities?
You like being able to pay Top 5 coaching salaries PLUS being able to afford Orgeron’s buyout?
You like having a program that’s self-funded and doesn’t use tax dollars?

Thank a corporation today.

Fix the traffic issues and none of the "Skippies" would leave at halftime.

The Tiger Walk was louder than the actual stadium was last night

The upper decks weren't even half full for a single game this year. They may not have even been 25% full once.

To me, that has a lot to do with pricing. Who wants to pay $145 to watch LSU play Florida at 11 am from those awful seats?

The most comparable seats in the Superdome for the Saints are $40-50 every game.

Back in 90s and before we were Lucky to be on TV 2 to 3 times a year. Now we’re on TV every weekend. That along with ticket and concession prices, not to mention the traffic issues that’s only gotten worse. It’s a no brainer to stay at home. Better food…cheaper alcohol and no bathroom lines. That’s a problem everywhere except if you’re Bama or Ohio st.

Addition was a big negative for ticket demand, parking and traffic. Beyond commercialized trash game day experience

Death Valley is a myth

Certainly wasn’t a myth at my first home game as a fan against FSU in 1982. That place was a lunatic asylum.

I don’t really buy that as the primary reason. Tickets for Texas A&M are as low as $44 right now on StubHub. There are lower bowl tickets on the west side available for $90 on StubHub.

The reality is that right now there’s not enough demand to fill those upper deck seats at any price point.

An often repeated lie. People couldn’t give tickets away this season. Even in 2019 you could buy face value tickets for just about any game or less depending on where you wanted to sit.

The next generation is filled with liberals.....which do not care anything about sports.

Look for this trend to continue, but this is not Orgerons' fault. Stadiums across the country are becoming less filled as the years go by. Most ALL games are televised, one way or another.

You gotta give people a reason to attend. Besides it is time consuming and expensive and difficult to park. I have been to Kyle Field on numerous occasions when I lived in Texas and that experience is much more convenient for fans…..many buses running from parking lots.

Maybe or maybe not, but either way with a new coaching staffing incoming. The buzz will bring some new energy towards the team. Unless it's Bill O'Brien.

Although I agree with your point about stadium size, tickets, and attendance in general, the quoted sentence is wrong.

TAF/Tradition Fund
No free parking anywhere near stadium
Ridiculous tailgating rules
shite home OOC scheduling (all marquee games at "neutral" sites)

This is what chased off the fans that would booze all day and scream their heads off until the clock read 0:00.

The sad reality is that all of these things that have corporatized the experience and squeezed out the average Joe are necessary for us to be a big time program in the current age. We can either stay on this route or return to being mediocre to bad and occasionally good.

This is in my view and accurate assessment which is why LSU and Death Valley is today an overrated venue. To be honest, very few games in the last 5 years are what are peak LSU Tiger stadium environment.

The Miles era did have some, 2007 VA Tech, Florida, 2008, 2010 and 2012 and 2014 Bama, many of the 2011 Home games, i.e Florida and Auburn

But it is now a Stadium living off its past.
