Really now. Who's going to be our fullback?

Reason I ask is J Jefferson has thrown the football to the fb in each of the last 2 games, and I believe he'll find the fb even more. The very same reasons JJ likes the TE (A LOT). If Ridley were healthy, our fullback position would be deadly.
For some reason though, I'm not in favor of using Scott as FB. I happen to believe Charles Scott is the best RB at LSU since Charles Alexander, I believe he's more than earned his stripes as LSU's feature back, he's a sr with an opportunity to deliver memorial season for himself, and LSU football. Cut the shite with trying to run everybody. Scott won a very competitive battle for where he's at against some of the best running backs in college football. This means he's the very best running back at LSU. HE gets the football on running plays.
Relief coming only from Williams, and the fullback.
Jefferson will definately have his share of "called" running plays.
Could Ford handle the FB position this year? He's big enough, and can certainly run the football.

I would think D. Allen would see playing time at FB before Ford.

Don't really care. Look for more 2 TE sets. Joseph should be more ready to play.

Thought I read somewhere that Charles Scott will see some time at FB. Prob an attempt to get KW and CS in the same backfield

The reason Scott would get the FB assignment would be because of his blocking, not just on running plays, but especially passing. I have do doubt the coaches would prefer not to do this, but if he maybe the best option here. As far as his career is concerned, being a skilled blocker will enhance his NFL value, not hurt it.

The couple of times they ran Scott at FB and Keiland at RB last year, it worked pretty well. Actually, I don't know why they went away from it.
Didn't Hester still play some FB in 2007? Seemed like that worked too.

Cuz 413, I sorta overlooked Allen. Allen would be interesting, as he was a big recruit(FB), but I really don't know much about him cept he's a load at 5'11" 250.

Allen is, quite literally, a freight train.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Is Allen said to be a receiving threat?

I wish we didn't have one in the starting offense
we have so many weapons I would rather see Crowton go back to his roots and open things up and have another WR or gadget player (H-back, slot, tailback) on the field instead
it would also have less defenders in the box against us

Charles Scott is a very good running back, but there have been better since Alexander. Hilliard, Kevin Faulk, I would argue Addai and Hester were just as good. To answer the topic, Allen will be the starting FB. The kid is a load

Where will Kellen Theriot end up?

Whoever said we'd have more 2 TE sets may be thinking the same thing, especially if D Peterson is the other TE. However, should we see 4 WR sets, LaFell, Randal, Shepard, T Toliver would be sick with a qb that can make the reads, and throws.

Dominique Allen. Although we probably won't use as much FB this year. And just because CS will line up at FB more doesn't mean he'll get less carries.

FB is the least important position on the whole team

I consider the TE, and FB are the 2 knights of an offense. Insidious, and deadly used creatively.
