Most fractured fanbase in the history of LSU football.

Les is the goat. Victories don't lie. I'll ride or die with him. 11 in a row starts tomorrow. Then playoffs. #staywoke

It's the 9 to 10 win Settlors. Win 6-8 of the first games, drop 1-3 to the SEC and then win your bowl game.....OK, maybe win your bowl game. By the time next year the Settlors are happy with 10-2 or 9-3 as time heals mediocrity and we forget. In a few years 8-4 will be OK.

Well, why hasn't he gotten started yet? We've all been waiting. It's pretty important that he do it soon.

Or was he talking about "tDecline?" Yeah, i think that's what he was getting at.

Saban had a full cupboard when he arrived...that is why he jumped at the opportunity at LSU. It is absolutely a misnomer that Saban orchestrated wins at LSU on his sheer brilliance and no help from the outgoing coach.

I get that sentiment, but the reason 9-3 is a disappointment at LSU is BECAUSE of the standard that Saban and Miles set. Saban averaged 8.8 regular season wins in his time at LSU. Miles has won 9.3 games per season in the regular season only.

LSU as a program is 7.5 regular season win team before Saban/Miles. Whether people want to admit it or not, 8 and 9 wins are "mediocre" at LSU only because Miles was winning 95 games in his first 9 years here. It wasn't always pretty - it was seldom pretty actually - but the results are what they are.

It is time for a change, and 99% of this place agrees with that, but the "settling for mediocrity" line is completely overblown.

Saban gets credit for winning 10 games and the west in 2001, his second year here, and Dinardo had nothing to do with it. Saban also gets credit for the 2007 national title, Miles's 3rd year at LSU, and Miles had nothing to do with it?

That seems to be the mantra here and has been for some time. If a new coach goes out and wins a title in 2018 or 2019, will people discount it because he won with "Miles's recruits"? I think we know the answer.

This is the kind of thing that needs to be pointed out, not that 10 win bullshite. The 10-win argument is a false analogy. What is Miles’ record in SEC play? LSU doesn’t need to be shamed about firing a coach who is underproducing with talent laying dormant in mediocrity. Raking up wins against lesser SEC opponents and non-conference little sisters of the poor teams means shite.

The definition of the "Reality of Miles tenure at LSU". Although the 10 games analogy does not fit for the time, it is also the Reality of Charley Mac's tenure at LSU.

I will always be grateful for what Miles did for LSU. He is a great man and at one time, a hell of a football coach. That being said, the last few years have shown that his best coaching days are behind him. It's time for a change.

Oklahoma state fg, that thing was so close I don't even think he missed it.

USC and Oklahoma losing in 03.

Lots of things happen for teams to make it in.
