re: Reality of LSU Basketball

We don't think we are in Trent Johnson era. We realize we are in an era where we are actually bringing in the talent to compete at a high level, but we aren't playing up to that level. We have higher expectations. It doesn't help with all the Wade dick riders saying not his fault, he can do no wrong...etc. this IS all about coaching. Talent is there. But, it's only year 5. Give him time to build his team. Lol

The reality has zero to do with college experience. Roster management has been unbalanced to say the least. Wade refuses to recruit shooters that can kill the oppositions run or extend a lead, let alone open the lane. It’s his playing style , which is fine, as long as you accept the alternative. He recruits and plays aggressive , but with little discipline.

Is it wrong to wish LSU had a Bruce Pearl like coach.

Also the big picture: Scott Woodward’s silence is deafening.

You think what you want. “Hot seat” may not be totally accurate here. But either with the “strong arse offer” cloud surrounding the program, or Scott’s desire to bring in his own guy, or more likely a combination of both— I’m reading the tea leaves that SW is not fond of Wade. Scott seems to be biding his time, but I don’t think there will be an extension coming for WW. I think Scott wants to try and leave his mark by making a “splash” MBB hire a la football and WBB.
Look, I support Wade. He’s done what he was hired to do—make LSU MBB relevant again. I’m just saying what I think is going to happen based on the vibe around the program and the AD.

Here are the facts:
You know the trolls are out in full force when they downvote facts lol. Fools

This basketball team is was projected to finish 7th in the SEC. We were projected on the 8/9 line by Lunardi in his preseason bracketology.
We will still 100% make the tournament. I’d bet my house on it. All you need to do is get in to have a chance.
We have 2 five stars coming in, along with a 4 star. We will likely add 1-2 guys from the portal. We are getting the majority of this team back. So we will have some experience and chemistry going into next season.
This program is set to be an NCAA tournament team for the forseeable future.

The time when just making the tournament is okay has got to be expiring soon right?

The reality is, they aren't a top 25 team. They are about where Mizzou is at best.

Who cares? We’re past that. Have been for some time.

I’m telling you, Woody has struck some kind of deal with the NCAA. Wade will not be extended.

I think this is highly plausible. I’m not saying I think it’s right.
NCAA says, “Okay Scott, jettison that guy and we take no further action. You don’t have to cause chaos and fire him, just let his contract run out.”

Wow. Y'all come up with some wild shite

I guess I’m a dumbass then but where is all this talent Wade is bringing in ? I hear this every year how Wade has a great class locked up. I want to see results man. I’m tired of excuses. And yes, I do remember Johnny jones and Trent Johnson. LSU should never have to settle for Trent or Johnny.
Wade needs to produce within two seasons or he has lost me. If you are fine just getting into the Dance, then be my guest. I just aim a little higher than just making a tourney with 67 other teams.

Just like in all sports, it's all about confidence and momentum heading into the final stretch.

You keep bringing up year 5 then run off to slob Dale Brown’s knob

They are 100% a top 25 team when healthy

He won the SEC his second year moron. WTF is this produce bullshite. They were a last second shot away from winning the SECT last year. They got hosed on seeding

If any kind of penalty comes from the ncaa , Woodward should just ride it out with Wade.

Uhhh Baylor had 4 JRs and 2 SRs last year.
You need upperclassmen to win a title
