Leavitt missed almost a whole year with the foot injury and missed spring ball as well
He is still figuring things out.
Give it time

Sam Leavitt is 10th in the nation for Total Offense!!
Freakin’ 10th!
We are seeing the floor for him right now. Give him time to grow and improve and then look out.

It's early is all I can say.
Stats excluded, we are a better offensive team than last year in every way.

Dude, youre solid. Sam deserves all the negatives he gets, hes eqrned them. Inaccurate at times, runs to quick, closes eyes on recievers once hes running, misses reads, etc etc
His athleticism helps him so much, he turns off qb responsibilities, and takes off.
Now hes showing wear from all of that running and hits, and now has a hammy issue.

Leavitt will get better with time in the system. People forget he is coming back from a pretty significant injury. The forced slowdown of his game will help hopefully build him trust with the WRs and others. Should continue to get better.

landon had 5 passes dropped and 2 were touchdowns.
Go stick your hand in a toaster so you won't type anthing this stupid for the near future.

Chambliss has 12 (8 pass/4 rush)
So he has 1 less TD accounted for than some of y’all’s best QB in the country Chambliss. Doing this in a new offense, coming off major injury and having an OL that couldn’t block to save its life in a few games (LT and Ole Miss).
In the end, he’s improving, which is key.

If anything, he's gained confidence that he can throw from the pocket. He did it on 1 leg. I'm anxious to see what he can do with confidence in the pocket and fully healthy to evade rushers. Landen and Longstreet are both nice players, too. I keep my glass half full. Sam's evolving, we just need him healthy.

I am very frustrated. It is not on the line...it is not.
We are in game 4 of a Lane Kiffin rebuild of the LSU program in his image. What the hell were you expecting? You need to chill out, lol.

Thank you. I can totally live with 300 passing and 200 rushing each week.

Sam played his best game against A&M by far.....it looks like the hamstring forced him to be a better field reader and accurate passer. I hope he continues to improve, and if he does, LSU could be a sleeper for the playoffs this year.

I agree with the OP and others. Let Leavitt Heal, it's not worth the Risk of playing him!
Do you think Leavitt has some "Magic Force Field Protection" built around him, like some Video Game Characters?!?
Every player on the field is vulnerable to serious, season ending injury, as we just recently witnessed on our key, elite, best players! Perhaps the most vulnerable position/player on the field is the QB. Do you think McNeese or other team's players will just be Nice and not deliver a sack/hit!?. That is their fricking Job!
Do you also think that you can play QB & somehow NOT use every muscle in your body. That he can just "take it easy, magicly just sit in a pocket, not have to move/run or put forceful pressure on both his legs!? He's fricking INJURED, and all the intense athleticism, speed, movement required to play QB will Slow Him Down & Make it Far More Difficult for Him to Maneuver & Avoid being Sacked!
You're fixing to see Landen Clark, and while I won't be surprised, I think many will @ how well he is going to play. How do you know if he might not be better than Leavitt? You Don't!
I think Leavitt is probably the better QB, IF he continues to improve. I just don't know, and neither do you! But Clark may be just as good or even better, and I would like to find out. NO ONE has seen his Upside and/or possible Downside - yet. But what we have seen from Clark is very Positive. He immediately displayed clear/obvious comfort, poise & confidence in running the offense efficiently!
And if Clark should perhaps play surprisingly well, and the offense comes alive......would'nt that be a great thing! And if so, would you not be ecstatic!? I realize that possibility, and the answer to those questions is just far too difficult (traumatic really) for many here to even think about, much less admit. I know I will be happy. And you know who else?

Is that a bad thing?
