With the talent wade has been able to accumulate over the past few months, is a NIT tournament too low or high of expectations for next year? I definitely see us being a MUCH more competitive squad and would love to see a NCAA tourney next year, but I don't know if those expectations would be too high

.500 overall 8 wins in SEC would be good with what he has.

Captain Obvious here. (Referring to myself and not the OP)

I believe the defensive play will be much improved.

That alone should generate more wins.

NIT year 1
NCAA year 2

That's doable

I thought it would be a rebuild year but with all the talent he's pulled in with transfers this team might be decent. I don't expect anything amazing but it will be miles better than last year.

Year 1: NIT

Year 2 if get Smart and Reid: Sweet 16 minimum

Year 2 Smart, no Reid: NCAA tourney but out 1st or 2nd round.

Not to be a boner but .500 would be 9 wins

Defensive intensity, more clearly defined roles and just a dash of give a frick will work wonders I think. We've got some decent pieces coming back and coming in

Honestly i dont mind a losing sec season or 500 ball as long as the product on the floor is playing with good basktball fundementals and principles. The wins will come with talent if we can do that. Wade has me fired up about lsu basketball right now

basketball can be turned around very quickly, and with what Wade has done so far, I honestly expect us to be very good, very fast. And with Wade's no-nonsense attitude, I expect high effort, high intensity play on the floor.

We'll be good next year. NCAA bid wouldn't surprise me at all.

I will be happy with good fundamental basketball.
