Given that every single post you’ve made on TD is shitting on BK in one way or another, this is exactly what you are.

People don’t realize how great of a career BK has actually had. They just look at the ND stint (which was really good) and maybe a little bit of Cincinnati (also really good). Dude won two D II national titles, he won the Mac title at Central Michigan, Big East titles at Cincinnati, took ND to the BCS national title game and the college football playoffs. He has been named national coach of the year multiple times on the D II level and multiple times on the FBS level. There are 5 different seasons he was named national coach of the year on the level he was in at the time. He has been named conference coach of the year in like 4 different conferences. That’s not just a great resume. It’s an all time resume.

IDK how much substance is in the OP. Haven't followed Kelly's tenure at ND that closely.

But I'll keep this in mind. Sorta like the criticism of Crowton who's career followed a pattern of diminishing returns at each stop. I get it that here it was compounded by the JLee int fest in '08 and Les's (over-)reaction.

But for now, Kelly is still on his honeymoon with Tiger fans and in a judgment free zone.

The very question excludes young coaches but Aranda is worth keeping an eye on.

Notre Dame hasn't won a national championship since the 80's. Kelly won more games than any other coach in the school's history at a time when it's increasingly difficult to win in college football and got the Irish into championship contention with a roster that isn't on par with the top teams in the country.

Notre Dame's problem isn't the coach. Notre Dame's problem is Notre Dame.

Brian Kelly is a very good X & O's guy.

This is simply dead wrong. I've given Kelly credit time and time again for the many good things he did at ND, and I suspect he will be successful at LSU. He left the ND program way way better off than he found it. He's not a good X's and O's coach though. He has many strengths as a college head football coach, but X's and O's is most definitely not one of them. I don't understand where this fantasy has emanated from.

Lol ok. I’m sorry but a coach doesn’t win on every level at every single stop without one single failure without being good at X’s and O’s. While it might not be his highest strength he is absolutely good in that area
