As far as Number 5. IIRC, Washington had only one loss as well and had beaten Miami, yet no one got all that upset. I think that was total BS. It would have been kinda, not exactly, like Virginia Tech getting a shot last year instead of us.

I have never felt that when a team loses should matter. At the end of the year, if two teams have the same amount of losses, the whole season should be looked at, not just the last few games.

True. The fact that most teams, especially SEC teams, are beat up and banged up by the end of the season should be taken into consideration. Not that it's an excuse because a true championship caliber team should have the depth to overcome this, but it should be considered.

Oh come on, what does that even mean? Only the SEC has injuries...everybody else plays flag football? This nonsense has been repeated so many times you guys actually believe it.

Dont take this the wrong way, but to say that is insane.

The only the BCS is close to is a disaster.

Maybe it is just me not paying attention, but I have not seen another team hobble across the end of the regular season only to be OMFG good for the bowl game like LSU.

I think it is just you not paying attention. USC was ridden with injuries last year. More so than LSU.

I didn't say it didn't happen period....I knew USC was hit. Last year was the third year in a row that LSU exhibited that behavior.

Was that the case for USC in prior years as well? Was the UCLA game just a fluke?

Not really arguing that point...there is obviously something about LSU that is different. Now that I think about it, I can think of cases where teams playing LSU has had a negative effect on them (I.e. Auburn in 06), but I can't think of any one team having the same effect on us.

I am not sayinf LSU was not banged up. But it is possible for that to happen to a team other than LSU. Just off the top of my head-- Starting tailback missed several games and played banged up most of the year. QB out three games and shoulda been four . Two starting O linemen, Starting safety and one starting CB.

ANd finally--Placekicker- Dead!

And FWIW I don't think anyone was saying that it didn't happen elsewhere period.

It just seems to be more of a chance thing for other teams whereas it is an MO for LSU.

The only the BCS is close to is a disaster.

Without the BCS, USC would be the 2003 national champion. The BCS corrected what would be this flaw.

Without the BCS, USC would also be the 2007 national champion after beating the shite out of #1 Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. Thank goodness for the BCS.

The BCS allowed for LSU to win two titles in five years...I can't believe Tigerdom bashes it so much.

Thank Jesus for the BCS.
