Serious question. Do you really think F.King would fire Alleva? He's on record bemoaning the rising salaries of athletic coaches and depts. He tells anyone who listens that LSU on the brink of closing its doors. So do you really think he's going to pay to buyout the AD...then pay to buyout the HC...while still paying to buyout the former HC ALL before hiring a new AD and HC?

right? when did people forget how things work. Alleva is not some teflon AD. if LSU goes 5-7, Alleva and O are both in the unemployment line.

Alleva is a Joe Dean level AD and LSU will need to bring in a competent AD. Otherwise LSU football will fall towards the bottom of the SEC. Hello Florida and Tennessee.

He made those statements publicly during the time the Legislature was devising the budget. He knows LSU sports is high on the list of most voters, and he knows that education (LSU funding) was at risk for cutting. So he whined a lot, and made sure that any effort to lower funding of LSU would face popular backlash. In other words, he did his job at the time.
Now that that's no longer an issue, his priorities change.
I would imagine he's aggravated that his name comes up fairly often in regards to the athletic department (football in particular). That's supposed to stop at the AD's desk. So I would guess that he's put Alleva on notice to fix this issue, or be replaced by someone who can.

That’s the one. The example I quoted above with the $5.2 million buyout figure is on the bottom of page 22.
The Texas A&M game is November 24. Sure seems convenient that a termination six days later has a buyout figure spelled out to the exact dollar, right there in the contract.
I’ve only ever reviewed Miles, Jimbo, Rich Rod and maybe one other contract, and never seen an example that exact before.

Orgeron could win a national title and it still not be a good hire as far as how it went down. Alleva is grossly incompetent. Herman says no and Alleva throws a tantrum and hired the former position coach with a terrible hc record within 9 hours at 3 am, announced by 7. It was a joke. He had more than the 2 months of interim O as well. He had a year. Everyone knew Les was a lame duck. Alleva didn't prepare for a search, doesn't have the temperament for negotiations, and can't see the forest for the trees. He is an idiot and LSU will be better off when he is gone.

Judging from the amount of haters and the degree of hate, I have no doubt that Rantards could raise that amount easily within 72 hours of LSU's first loss this season.
