it's called arguing.
Your argument is based on the fact that if we didn't have mitchell we wouldn't have won the NC.
In response I'm saying that only game 1 of the NC series he helped us in a big way to win, and it is possible we could have still won without him.

Or the explanation on how recruiting doesn't matter in college baseball but it's the only reason Mainieri has won at LSU.

Look. There's coaching, then there is managing. Can you discern the two? MAiNERi CANNOT MANAGE. He has shown that... This does not discredit his ability to teach the game and how it's supposed to be played.. He just is not a good in game manager, that's it.
Recruiting in baseball is the most overrated thing there is. It doesn't mean a whole lot. Players dont play for the name on front of th jerseys anymore. Players are trying to get their name noticed to get paid the quickest way they can.. Not trying to stay in college
Lsu was lucky to get the players they had to win. Luck. That's it. Not recruiting tactics
