What if Yahoo! Sports does a Freedom of Information Act request and gets Miles' emails. Then they discover that Miles was emailing the attorney (Nathan Fisher) and others in an attempt to make this go away. Ohio State Part Tweaux.
Do you know what a FOIA request is for?

Smart people ALWAYS obtain counsel.
Definitely.
ESPECIALLY if the other side has already lawyered up. I would be stumped if they didn't get a lawyer, especially one that will do the case pro bono.

You really think JJ went out and got this lawyer?
It's documented that he has counsel.
quote:
Under your assumptions, anyone that hires a lawyer is "involved."
Usually this is the case. Involved enough to need legal defense. Why else do people hire lawyers? This isn't TV law. There is sufficent evidence to significantly implicate Jefferson here.
quote:
Why investigate or have a trial then?
For several reasons, one of which might be to determine the level of culpability, which JJ has here to some extent.
quote:
Moreover, if he were a witness, the police would want to question him anyway.
Not necessarily, and he wouldn't have to comply if asked. The fact that he was called to the station specifically speaks to the level of involvement.

bullshite. You don't obtain counsel if you weren't involved

Is there anything new on the Cam Newton deal?

If true, there is going to be a portion of the LSU fan base that wonders whether LSU lowered its integrity to get this swept under the rug, and those fans have a right to question that.
I agree...but I think we'd disagree in regards to who actually resides in that portion of the fan base, and what their motivation is for assuming the worst in regards to a cover upo.
I've said this since day one...wait until we finally know all we're going to know. Instead, people have run around like chickens with their heads cut off vilifying the players, Miles, etc all under the assumption/hope that the stories that came out from 1 side were 100% accurate.
there was ALWAYS going to be another side of this, and anyone but a damn fool had to know that at the very least it was going to be markedly different from the one we heard first.
I've always assumed the truth would lie somewhere in between...you?

"Usually." If there is "sufficient evidence," then why have no arrests been made yet?

At least since Friday. Bennet was asking if anyone knew who witness was.

does this flipside of this mean Jarvis Landry is in deep doo-doo? (conventional rant wisdom in play)

Could explain the whole laughing in the film room thing..... What happened?
There was another of the 1-zillion threads on this topic that linked to a news article that referenced another player (Lee?) saying JJ was "laughing in the film room", and acting normal at practice. Maybe because he knew all of the reports were BS??
