9 wins won't have a negative impact on recruiting.

6-6 / 7-5
Failure

8-4 depends on the losses, injuries, effort, etc

9 and above is success.

You know, people often relate him to a used car salesman as an insult and I don't really see it that way.

It happens to be one of the nicest things you can say about his coaching skills without being disturbingly detached from reality or a perfidious shill.

So if Jimbo or Herman got the job over O you would expect more than 9 ws this year?
yes. I also think they would not have lost to Troy or Miss State by 30 last year, so we would be talking about 11-2 - 10-3 season last year.

The most loaded with the best assistant coaches with an unprecedented level of independence he doesn't either.

Ok, it's all hypotheticals.
Well just have to wait and see.
In the mean time, enjoy being miserable

LSU fired Les Miles because 9 win seasons isn't good enough. This doesn't change with Orgeron.

With this schedule and young offense 9 wins is acceptable.

A schedule qualifier for what's acceptable in April doesn't make any sense to me.

We play in the SEC West. The schedule is supposed to be tough every year. It doesn't always work out that way, as last season demonstrated, so why lower the bar already?

Les never got a pass on the perceived strength of a schedule and neither should Orgeron.

You don’t get to lower expectations because you’re new coach.

You are supposed to improve the team. That’s why they fired the other guys.

Good coaches improve teams with good coaching. Even if your roster is bums, A good coach is going to improve that roster of bums.

O isn’t a good coach just a good recruiter (allegedly)

Well, if the tough schedule is a qualifier for the amount of wins in the upcoming year, shouldn't the soft schedule of last year be a talking point for why there should have been more wins or the quality of the wins?

Nope. The goal posts will continue to be moved and the standards lowered.

Fine.

NY6 bowl game this year. If he doesn't do that, then he should be on the hot seat. Agreed?

SEC west

Sure we do.
Last I checked Miami and Uga and fla aren't in the secw.

All 3 games will be challenging.
Yes it's April and I can say that with truth.

Anything under 9 wins puts him on hot seat imo.
***8 possibly if something shitty and unforseen happens to us.

So if we lose to Miami, Auburn UGa and Alabama and win the Texas bowl well would be 9-4

That’s an impressive season?

We fired a national championship winning coach for 9 wins. What has Ed Orgeron done to deserve special treatment?
