They bring in a sports psychologist all the time.

the 'baseball yips' are 100% real

Exactly. Losing a weekend series to a top 5 team on the road hardly calls for sending an entire team to a psych.

I like Buddy. My momma use to say that if you don't have anything good to say about somebody, then don't say nothing at all. Buddy is an LSU guy and tells it like it is and he is correct about the players needing a shrink.

Many people for a lot of years have said that Buddy needs a psychiatrist.

I am a psychologist...and I agree with Buddy.
Thompson and Doughty are both struggling mentally with a lack of confidence defensively.

They don’t need a dang head doctor, they need to catch the ball. Period. It’s not life or death. It’s a child’s game. Throw the ball, catch the ball, hit the ball, sometimes it’s rains

Glad to hear he’s still alive.
I haven’t heard from him since 1998.

I think almost all the issues can be solved by having a SS and 2B that can field ground balls and make accurate throws to first base.
Hopefully that gets solved in the offseason.

I think he moved to some 25 watt station down in Donaldsonville after 104.5 shut down 1210 am.

Skip had a sports psychiatrist on staff or on a consultant contract for a few years. If you remember how big Skip was on visualization, then you will understand that it made perfect sense. I have thought for a good while now that it was past time for this to happen if this team is going to have a chance to turn it around this season. They are playing scared and the pressure to NOT make errors is killing them right now. Bringing in a sports psychiatrist is not an overreaction, but rather a very sensible strategy for our coaches to consider, and one which I hope they have already begun to implement. Geaux Tigers!
