No, he's being a terrible coach because he can't develop and implement a scheme mid-season that compensates for a patchwork o-line, fumbles, missed blocks, drops, etc.

Dinardo didn't need any help running an offense according to him

Lets see...GD won 57% of his games, won 10 games in one season, never won the SEC, and never had a team ranked in the top 10.

Les on the other hand, is winning 80% of his games, won 11+ games 5 times, won the SEC twice, and has LSU living in the Top 10.

Using GN in a comparison to LM is bout as BS as it gets, but knock yourself out.

Im pretty good on the range and on the putting green, however when playing in a tourn that 4 footer for par always seems to me harder than it does while Im practing, wonder if its the same or at least similar in DIV1 college football??

I guess in your opinion they play dominos at practice all day.
I cant speak for anyone esle here, but I played ball, and unfortunanly for us as a team we committed mistakes during the game that we practiced over and over throughtout the year.. Im assuming you didnt based upon what you typed.

Speaking of turnovers, you do realize we have as many in 6 games as we had in 14 last year.. hang on though bc it gets more intresting... outside of ZM the players and coaches are the same as last year.... hmmmmmm.

I just get tired of excuses year in and year out. The last 4 was blamed on poor qb play. This year, it is mental mistakes and injuries. I would just like to see us be more consistent on that side of the ball.

Before I go any further, address one thing for me real quick:

Explain the hurry-up clusterfrick that occured on the LSU 20 sometime in the 2nd quarter when LSU seemed poised to get an easy first down. You know, when they tried to get all cute and snap it before Florida was set, except the reciever wasn't even ready so Mett had to eat the ball and then had to punt?

I suppose that was the players just going rogue and "not executing?"

I'm sick of Les. He really comes across as a detached a-hole.

For those few who still believe in our shitty offensive scheme and blame our players for not succeeding in a flawed and failing system, what do you say to those players who called out this system?

Bad attitudes? They don't know? They're not any good? What's the excuse this time?

I assume you are joking, but chit happens when you play football and LM gets a pretty sweet paycheck and to earn that paycheck I expect him to sometimes make lemonade out of lemons.

That doesn't mean I want him gone or want to tell him how he should coach, just that I expect him to have his team ready to compete for the west "patchwork o-line, fumbles, missed blocks, drops, etc." or not.

Truer words. Truer words. He won't handle it. He will ignore it, just like he did against bama in the BCS and against Florida last weekend. Adjusting on the fly is not his strong suit. Luck runs out.

Why would it be the head coach's responsibility? He is only may 4 million a year to coach.

WR coach and that was the worst O we have ever had predictability wise. Kentucky said after they drilled us that we used so few sets they knew what the plays were in almost each set.

I'm not the biggest Miles fan.
But, he's right about 1 thing

EXECUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would this offense be great? NO it wouldn't.
But, if this offense just executed some things that are totally within their ability (such as catching easy arse passes) then things would change.
The WR's dropped 2 or 3 EASY passes that would have extended drives last game. Those make a difference and could make a HUGE difference in a close game.
Couple that with OBJ not protecting the ball on the long pass completion and LSU very well beats Fla.

There's certianly blame to go around for everyone.. All Im syaing is if our execution improves, alot of this is a mute point.

Players make plays.
Coaches coach..
I dont believe these arent getting coached.

Spencer ware said it best sat night after game,, at some point we have to "do" the work.
That means execute.

Couldn't agree more.
Again, catch a few of those drops and the games different.
Block better on a few plays and the games different.
Most teams can say that, but in the drops case I don't remember Fla dropping a bunch of catchable balls.

But Les is throwing the players under the bus. They must be brainwashed to echo his comments on execution.

That's why I have no confidence going forward. All the greats evolve. They don't continue to run the same exact offense for a decade thinking it will work. They recognize where their strengths are and call plays according to those strengths. A different offense has to be called for a weak offensive line as compared to a strong one. Miles will not change it though. Or at least I don't have faith that he will. Now if he is trolling us all and comes out against SC running a Spread Offense the entire game, I will gladly eat crow.

Perfectly said.

Now, as far as changing it, we'll see. But I see there are morons in this thread that take everything Miles says literally.

A coaches cry of "EXECUTION" can sometimes be a copout for lack of the proper preparation. imo

In this case who knows, but the recent history of LSU going 18-2 in their last 20 games has me leaning bout 80% player and 20% coaching.

Call it making an excuse or not, but injuries impact team performance.

I still want the staff to help the team overcome our problems and compete effectively vs SC.
