Quitters !!! At some point it’s time to call “Opt Out” players what they are ..

Quitters are what they are !!!
Some LSU fans may not like that reality but the fact is that all of the “Opt Out” players badly affected LSU’s season.
Fact is, if this trend of key players “Opting Out” continues next year and the year after, it has the potential to badly damage LSU’s football program; and many others around the country. Unlike teams like Alabama and Ohio State, LSU hasn’t historically been able to field Conference Championship contending teams virtually every year. This “Opt Out” trend is new and teams that lose will experience this trend far more often.
Sure, I get it that for these “Opt Out” players it’s all about “money”. However, unless the fans of LSU football quit dancing around this issue and start calling these players out for being the “Quitters” they are, then don’t bitch when every time LSU loses a big game, that removes them from National Champion contention, you start seeing top players “Opting Out” and dropping off the team like flies.
IMO, these players who elect to “Opt Out” are also letting down on their teammates when they abandon them. You simply cannot play the game of football thinking you’re going to get hurt. If players throughout history played the game like they were going to get hurt there would be no game of football today. You can’t ever play the game of football that way or you will get hurt.
“Opting Out” is ruining the game and IMO LSU players, and players at all other schools, should start calling out their teammates that “Opt Out” and call them what they are; QUITTERS !!
No athlete likes ever being called a “Quitter”; especially by their teammates and their fans.
I’m sorry, it is what it is. Call it what it is !!

I can understand if you opt out at the beginning of the season, but opting out during the season is you quitting on your team.

Ok. I’m going to ask a question and I want answers. What the frick is with putting a space in between the word and the exclamation mark?

This sentence is longer than Arik Gilbert’s LSU career. It’s obvious that you never quit school.

why did you put "money" in quotes?
Posted on 12/18/20 at 11:21 pm to HuckFinn
I’ve called each and every one of them that from day one. They quit. They’re quitters. End of the argument.

You are such a trend setter. Nobody else on this entire board has ever thought to refer to them as quitters. I'm glad you brought this to our attention. Now we can all call then quitters, just like you suggested.

Thank you and damn straight.
People defended fournette sitting out the bowl game but now the quitting term is justified seeing how he has turned out.

I’ll call them quitters again and again! And every time it is posted because that is what they are

They quit. And I hope they don’t come back to campus.

There's absolutely no denying that missing shelvin, chase, vincent and ika were badly missed. It hurt our defense really badly and prob cost us a couple of games tbh due to lack of depth and experience where we needed it most on defense. Marshall and gilbert hurt us too but thank God we won vs florida anyway. That just shows how much youthful talent we have on this team and should be a great sign for years to come. But I agree, it's be to sit out on your team like that...no excuses for it. It hurt our team.
