All your tourism tax dollars goes to fund The SEC office, and the university of Alabama.
Katrina Fema money and BP Oill spill money built that university in tuscaloosa, and those national championships.
I saw with my own eyes.

Not an issue for me. I'm in Central Florida, so for me on the Gulf Side it would be St. Pete Beach, Pass-A-Grille, Anna Maria Island, going down to Bradenton, Sarasota and Siesta Key (water is so amazing there many claim it has healing properties).

The SEC administration does not get money from Alabama taxes. Their money comes from the tv contract and is hundreds of millions of dollars of which they keep after distribution to member schools, around 29 million. Don't think they need any taxes.

Thanks for the 411. I have seriously been planning a vacay in Gulf Shores next month with a friend of mine. I do believe it’s now going to be Florida instead. It’s just a few miles down the interstate anyway. Not a big deal.
