Solid 4 stars are what make a roster. If you can land one or 2 five stars a cycle, then you doing well as you all know.

Definitely doesn't hurt to have top 100 guys.

I haven't heard much about West, other than that he got in physical shape to play defensive tackle.

But the fans at LSU need to stop with the overreactions because LSU absolutely doesn’t recruit at the Miss State / Kentucky level. It’s much closer to Georgia or Alabama.

As long as it stays that way, we will be able to compete if we keep winning games, have competitive QBs and persons to catch the ball, an OL and RBs who do their jobs. Same as the defense. You need a competitive DL a really good player or two at LB and a competitive secondary.

If we have that then we don’t need 5*s at every position. We get plenty of these guys throughout the roster to compete with anyone and we also cherry pick our 3* and 4* while also filling needs with competitive transfers. It’s not like Miss state or Kentucky where we have to recruit 3* guys that’s left over. We get the highly ranked guys and also cherry pick our lower ranked guys. Therefore it’s a completely different situation.

247 said he is doing great at DT. Love for him to be a similar player like Wingo

For every Harold Perkins and Will Campbell there’s a Chris Faulk and Chris Davenport I stopped caring about stars after Mathieu Zy Alexander is the clear #1 cb this year and he was a no star

There’s vastly more guys you’ve never heard of or remember that are 3 star guys or lower. The teams with the most talent typically win. And empirical data backs that up.

Stamps can play. He man'd up Sampson pretty well last year when Catholic and Rummel played. Sampson won some and Stamps won some.

I remember seeing his video and being unimpressed.

Good for him.

5 stars don’t redshirt unless there’s an injury

Four star on On3, alligator arms and all for Campbell

Edit: On3 had him outside the top 100 and graded him as an interior guy

Committing to LSU is why they didn’t end up 5 stars. Just the honest truth. That’s why LSU seems to always lack 5 stars in every class because the jackass recruiting sites bump them down immediate after they commit to LSU most of the time.
