After reading a few posts today, some old and some new, I decided to do a quick season by season breakdown:

Losses Under Miles:
2005 (2)
#10 Tennessee 3 pts OT
#13 Georgia 20 pts SEC Champ

2006 (2)
at #4 Auburn 4 pts
at #5 Florida 13 pts

2007 (2)
at #18 Kentucky 6 pts triple OT
Arkansas 2 pts triple OT

2008 (5)
at #12 Florida 30 pts
#9 Georgia 14 pts
#1 Alabama 6 pts OT
Ole Miss 18 pts
at Arkansas 1 pt

2009 (4)
#1 Florida 10 pts
at #3 Alabama 9 pts
at Ole Miss 2 pts
#11 Penn State 2 pts Cap1 Bowl

2010 (2)
at #5 Auburn 7 pts
at #12 Arkansas 8 pts

2011 (1)
#2 Alabama 21 pts Nat Champ

Les Miles has 18 losses while at LSU:
Fourteen losses to ranked opponents
Twelve losses either away or at neutral site
Four losses to unranked opponents
Four losses in OT/triple OT
One loss to non-SEC team

Losses by team:
3-Alabama
3-Arkansas
3-Florida
2-Auburn
2-Ole Miss
2-Georgia
1-Kentucky
1-Tennessee
1-Penn State

Three biggest losses, from a overall season perspective:

1. 2011 Alabama, moving right along
2. 2010 Arkansas, kept us from a BCS game
3. 2005 Georgia, kept us from an SEC Championship

Comments... was any other loss bigger than the three mentioned above.

Seriously, I know we're in the off season, but what exactly is the purpose of this thread? Discuss what? Miles is good at barely losing? Because there are some pretty good arse whippings in there.

Miles has only lost 18 games? This has been discussed.

IDK

Thanks for posting in a different way what has been discussed a million times, why don't you try an original topic. What exactly is the point of the OP?

I know that it has been discussed. I've heard it in bits and pieces a lot lately. That is why I decided to create a list of the losses. I wanted to see what the stakes were and how good the opposition was in those 18 games, all at once. I'd like to do one of the wins too, but that would take too long due to the amounts of wins and arse whoopings we have thrown down.

Florida and/or Auburn 2006 arguably were. If we win either of those two games, we win the SEC West, very possibly the SEC and the NC.

Ditto Auburn 2010.

2005 Tennessee also did terrible things for the fan's perception of Miles.

Everything surrounding that game was straight depressing. And I remember I was in high school and got home at like 2am cause traffic was so bad.

Only to dumbasses that let LSU football define them. The state of LA was coming of the worst natural disaster in US history. Our practice facilities were being used as triage. Our starting qb had 13 people living in his apt.
While we should've won, football was taking a backseat then.

I mean, seriously, why even post? If you don't like the topic keep your f-in mouth shut and don't hit the reply button. I hate it when I post a topic and someone has put all of their negative energy all over it like this.

That being said--CLM is statistically the best coach in Tiger history. He makes lane-brain decisions sometimes, but I seem to remember our previous coach losing to UAB. CLM teams don't lose those games.

Pretty much sums up my feelings as well. That was a prison rape of epic proportions by the refs.

Wow. I hope you never use that "against" a Bama fan.

Sad.

But he didn't whip out "Your an idiot."

He made a typo calling out a Negative Nancy who was poo-pooing on a thread. A fairly decent thread at that.

Weak.
