What does everyone think of it? Avoiding questions, same lame answers, etc.

I like what I read about his comments after the game. Miles is top of the heap in LSU history. Haters are dumbasses.

The caller that bashed Murphy and Ridley really pissed me off.

Why is someone that disagrees with you a hater? I dont think anyone hates miles or the other coaches we just wish they would coach the team like saban , polini,meyers... the coaches at other big time schools. We would also like it if he didnt get outcoached by lower ranked teams

yeah, that 26 yards of total offense going into the 4th quarter against a team that was 1-11 last year would have went real well here if that were Miles.

You'd better clock it Bandits before this conversation escalates. clock it up!

2ndServe: He also is one of the few coaches that has been here really that long at all. LSU didn't have the facilities and recruiting tools they have now. The Football Operations Center, Student Athlete Complex, Weight rooms, etc. That is why we are a power after being insignificant since the 50s. We also have one of the highest paid staffs (and that has nothing to do with Miles).Miles' success is very much tied to all of the things that have been bestowed upon him.

The radio show is something for the fans to be able to interact with the coach. Granted, Miles gets compensated for it but he doesn't have to do it. He doesn't have to take time out of his game prep to do it. He could send asst coaches to do it. He is giving up potential family time since he goes back to the office to work after the show. Fans might think they're entitled to all the answers they think they deserve but how would you like to be questioned ad nauseum about how you do your job.

Actually he does. It's in his contract.

You mean like how CEOs do every quarter on their earnings calls? You mean like some CEOs that make less a year than Miles does? Wow people make a lot of excuses. If you don't think major college football is a business, you're sorely mistaken.

He might get more of a pass for something like that if he were coming off of back-to-back 13-1 seasons including two top-3 finishes, 2 division titles, 1 SEC title and 1 national title, like Meyer is. When you're coming off of 8-5 and 9-4, though, people's patience is a little thinner.

I would think most people working in most businesses would take time to answer questions from their customers.

Do you think they would give their customers the whole story, or just enough to get by?

Try calling the CEO of Ford and chatting.

That said, you can't deny his recruiting prowess, which may or may not be tied to the facilities.
