I think both coaches are earning more respect. If LSU can make a run in basketball and in football this year than i believe both will have been really good hires .

Frick Joe Alleva in the goatass for his gross and absolutely irresponsible mishandling of the Les Miles situation. It damn near cost us our football program.
As far as the current coaches go, I've got their back and they have my support. Wade has drastically improved the hoops team, is recruiting at a high level and has us as a legit contender in the SEC. Orgeron has not regressed the football program as I will admit I feared would happen and appears to be really heavily restocking the cupboard (next year is the no-excuses, do or die year imo).

Joe Alleva was 1 for 3 in hiring basketball coaches. You could argue 1 for 4 with Vargas. Not exactly a stellar hiring record from a ‘basketball school’ AD. He does get credit for Torina.
The Miles not firing/firing debacle and the Fisher/Herman/O hiring circus was enough to pull the plug on him.

I can never agree with how Alleva handled the football coach hire... petulant comes to mind... I like Coach O, but I think we could have done a bit better... but no doubt, Coach O has done well
Wade is another story... great hire, and given time, he can prove to be Alleva's best

No frick Joe. The entire 2016 football coaching circus was enough to make me never support him. It took him until now to finally hire a good basketball coach. He was like 0-3 prior to Wade

I have never had a problem with O. I had a huge problem with how he was hired and still do. Wade was a great hire. No question......Alleva needs to be ready to keep him though.

Is crack your drug of choice? At no time has our program been in jeopardy of being lost under Alleva. There is but one Saban and even Clemson and Ole Miss have shown he is vulnerable at times. The program was, is and will be fine. This recruiting class is amazing and O’s team far exceeded the 6-6 expectations by beating four teams ranked in the top 10. Hate Alleva all you want, but a top six football team, top 25 basketball team, number 2 preseason baseball team, number three gymnastics team and world class track teams seem to suggest the athletic department is not in dire straits like you nega Tigers/pseudo fans wish it was.

I would never back the O hire if it went down the same way it did. Probably the biggest joke of a coaching search ever
