re: Question for the "Miles will change" crowd

Less deserves every bit of criticism that he gets on this board. He's running a proud program into the ground. Let's just hope these so called changes aren't too little too late

I get venting frustration, but this is going on & on & on, with every criticism repeated over & over & over again. This accomplishes absolutely nothing positive for the program. Booger was all for CLM moving on & said so openly & frankly for several wks all over ESPN. But even he, one of CLM's most out spoken critics, has since said that CLM is now the HC at LSU & it is time to support him for the good of the program. If half the CLM's haters stayed into the 4th quarter of games these past few yrs, let alone even attended the games, this TS would be like the old one. And ask any of his players/former players, they all say he is off the wall competitive when between the lines. THAT is why he will do what is necessary and not just fold his cards & ride out his contract.

The only reason miles should want to change is for his players' sakes. He should want to put them in the best position to be successful, and play to their strengths. I mean, that's what a good man would want to do.
Everyone screams "Execution"!!! The play's aren't being executed! Well when your team continually has a problem with execution for 2 straight years, and other teams can execute. Then the practices are being run like shite. That's where you learn to execute.
The facts are Miles runs a outdated offense where the majority of the plays utilize the hash marks to the sidelines, requires awesome accuracy from the QB, and doesn't get the most out of the skill talent because you have to play a walk on FB and a 280 pound TE 65% of the game, which leaves guys like Desean Smith on the bench who would be a star in any other offense. But no, we gotta run the Bo offense and gotta have that walk on FB in there.
Miles offense is either pure vanity or he's really delusional/senile enough to believe "his" way is the best way LSU can succeed.
Change for the players' sakes. Not the fans. But do it for the players he leads into battle each game.
If he doesn't do it now, he's a damned fool.
**this post actually means I would like for him to change, so LSU can become successful and possibly win, hell, a western division championship. Which means him keeping his job for the fan basher contingent.**

While I'm not confident that he will change, he did have some decent offenses before the year of the pick six. He changed after that, albeit for for worse. I'm hoping he can just go back to the 2005-2007 offenses, that would be an improvement.

insulting, abusive, or highly critical language.
Actually, you directly contradicted yourself in the very next sentence.
quote:
somebody insulted him about not being able to dress himmself
You did try to excuse the invective as being the result of frustration. I would contend that it is still an invective, even if it may have been an irrational response to being frustrated with the direction, coaching, or performance of the football team.
Also, if you didn't see highly critical language in several posts, I would say your bias has clouded your comprehension.
We all want better outcomes, ultimately. Some think a coaching change is required, some do not, some are unconvinced either way. Some of the change proponents think anything is better than what we have, most rational people know it is not. I, like most, think we an get a very good coach to replace Miles if we go about it properly.
I think there were good intentions regarding getting Fisher but the people pulling the strings let too much get out too early, which probably means too many people were involved, and had no plan to deal with the inevitable blow back. When you let the situation get to the point that the Republican Governor and the Democratic Governor-elect agree the path forward is opposite of what you're working for, you have lost the PR battle.
How about we all just get to
I for one do actually hope Miles can turn it around and can retire here with at least 1 more National Championship Ring preferably more. I wouldn't say I'm optimistic, just hopeful.

You STHU. A friend of mine saw Less slap a piece of candy out of a toddler's hand the other day and pick it up and eat it.

the only change I want to see is him getting after it like in the a&m game. get on those refs, get on those players; COACH damnit!
he's been standing on the sidelines and just watching long enough.
as far as changing his O philosophy don't count on it. I see more passing in the future due to assumed progress of BH but it will be the same old plays.

So, whose fault is it if not CLM?
People love to talk about HIS winning percentage, but do not like it when you bring up his recent losing ways.

Les thinks his offense is the best way to win games. He's not going to suddenly change it. Especially when bringing back a junior QB with a Heisman candidate to run it. 9-3 is good enough to keep his job, and his offense is good enough to beat 9 teams on the schedule.

That's not actually possible.

I heard a telling quote yesterday that coaches that coach DO NOT WATCH THE FREAKING SCOREBOARD SCREEN........ ALL OF THE TIME

We won 10 games because Auburn was down and not near as good as people thought. Miles almost gave Miss St the W with his conservative bullshite. On top of that, if Grier was the QB for UF then that's a loss there.
Miles can NOT beat teams at their best. Just like all you Miles defenders, he has to hope that the other team is having a down year so that we can beat them. It's pathetic.
In the last 10 games that Vegas has LSU as the underdog, Les has lost. He is 0-10 when not favored. That's pathetic.

GoodOleLess will either be tar and feathered within 3 years, and run out of town, and whoever saved his arse this time will be dead, or he will be 75 when he retires. He may just drop dead on the sidelines before he retires.

It does except in November. And with a silly fan base that's obsessed with fool's gold -- it gives Miles all the validation he needs.

I've already written off next year. We will lose 3-4 games and not compete for anything meaningful.

Nope. Les will keep LSU as an also ran and we will throw a damn parade for him when he leaves.
Louisiana is all about "good enough."

We keep seeing the posts popping up with ways that Miles will change, wishful thinking OC candidates, who's leaving, who's staying, etc.,etc. The bottom line is that Miles cannot be expected to make any significant changes if any at all. Cam ain't going. BDP will probably be back. We have no experienced, quality QB depth to rely on, so that's not changing. Miles sees no need for change. How many times has Miles spoken of upcoming and needed changes, only to present the same product, maybe with a couple of half assed wrinkles, but still the same? Maybe he'll surprise us. I hope he does.

Miles will finish sucking the life out of the program next year. It's really sickening that he gets to kill another year.
