If you feel like you have anything in common with a 52 year old jersey wearing man who was twice kicked out of a college student section and arrested, you might be complete trash (read in Jeff Foxworthy voice)
Bingo.
It's been a long time since I was a student. But student sections then, and now, have ALWAYS been full of immature, obnoxious, assholes. That is the case at Ole Miss, LSU, and every other college. If you, as a 52 year old adult, go into the visiting student section you have to know you are going into a place where ridicule is likely. In other words, you know there is a strong possibility you are inviting confrontation. That's why as an adult I have ZERO desire to watch a game from a student section...home or away. I lived that life once as a student. It was fun then. But that time has passed.

I went to the Ole Miss/MS State game a few weeks ago. The general admission area was full so security told us to go sit in the student section. Might explain why that guy was there.
Perhaps. But again, you have to know going into the student section as an opposing fan you are inviting conflict.

I don't think anyone here is outraged I just find the whole thing hilarious I don't know why some here are so set on defending this guy who was trying to fight multiple people over 30 years younger than him
If this guy just acts like a normal adult nobody is throwing drinks at him and he doesn't end up in jail

Exactly what your hero got. Arrested, probably hit with felony battery charges, responsible for that kid's medical bills, and possibly being sued by the kid as well. This is gonna cost him way more than that kid.

That kid was talking shite all game lol I’m not advocating for a grown man knocking out a twenty year old
Sounds like you are.

Are we really outraged that someone swung after getting a drink thrown at them?
Not outraged, think it was stupid. Like this post.
quote:
Yeah he got the wrong guy, but was there not a beer thrown?
Good lord, what a stupid statement. "I know he shot the wrong guy but somebody did something that they deserved to be shot for"

Security got the wrong guy. He was just following his lead.
And for that matter, security ran up to the "wrong" guy, and grabbed him. The security guy wasn't very calm either.

He whacked the wrong guy because that’s the guy the security guard ran up to.

The student section use to be in a corner (before the bowl) and they would launch drinks at the visitors section especially state. We always sat in the middle just to be out of their range.

What is their fascination with throwing beer?
Posted on 4/13/26 at 3:15 pm to paulb52

how can you justify this kid getting knocked out by a grown man when he didnt do anything. Are you a fricking retard?? no serious question.

serious answer is that he fully thought he was the aggressor and still was sort of an aggressor with the way they were standing, yelling and attacking him and his wife leaving. he'll pay the consequences for punching the wrong guy but he wouldn't have punched the wrong guy had the security guy not assumed the wrong guy either.

its amazing you take offense to anything i said. i said he'll pay the consequences for punching the wrong guy. what more do you want? you want to discuss at all the aggressor who threw a beer in his face from a few feet away instigating the attack?
Posted on 4/13/26 at 3:23 pm to BootyFett69
Its a drink, get over it. Yea it would sucl to have a drink thrown on me, but to hit someone and get kicked out of the game, in which you pay money and travel expenses to go see them play? Its just not worth it to react to your feelings.

It's the white knighting, saying he shouldn't be throwing punches at people, that I don't understand.
There's not a poster here that wouldn't be throwing bombs after getting a drink thrown at them. That is a step above spitting at someone.
Some of us are more mature than to react like that. Big deal, its a drink thrown from a college kid. Who cares! And a step above spitting on someone? Not even close! Someone can literally give you a disease by spitting on you and if it land correctly in the right place.

I simply could not imagine stooping back down to college life and getting so mad at college kids during a college sporting event played by other college kids. I get mad at the tv when we throw a bad pass. That would be the extent of my anger at an event like this.

So he proceeded to knockout a kid? Hmm my point stands. If he thought it was a kid he is still a pussy.. Notice he didnt punch an adult who could defend himself. fricking old drunk didnt even land his punch that well. Kid got right up lmao
