re: Question about bringing an infant into Tiger Stadium

Serious question, why would someone want to bring an infant to this kind of environment who will have absolutely ZERO recall of the experience? Do people do this just so they can say: "Little junior here has been coming to TS since he was in diapers!".
IMO, there is NOTHING in it for the kid at all and it seems purely selfish.

Just because they won't recall an experience doesn't mean they aren't building on that experience.

Too young for a fb game. Baby will not enjoy the game, needs to be in its nice, warm house.

I think as long as the baby stands up the whole time it should be fine
and if the baby wants to leave before the game is over, that baby is just a bad fricking fan

Come on dude! Too loud for them at that age. Do what you want, but watch the game at home! Much easier on those little ones.

There is nothing wrong with taking an infant or small child to the game, but like in a restaurant, if their behavior is bothering other people, take them away.
Do not expect to stay the whole game and be willing to leave very early if they get unruly. If you can make it the whole game, bonus.
It's great for the tailgate aspect. They love all the people and excitement. They don't know what it is at that age, but it's constant stimulation.
My daughter turns three next week and this will be her third game (we have taken her to one game each year). If she gets out of hand, my mom will take her home from the game so my wife and I can stay. Last week, you could buy upper deck tickets for $10, and this week, it will be pretty close to that on game day.

it's a foolish decision man. don't take an infant to a football game. you won't be able to see or enjoy the game anyways. let the babies grandparents take care of him/her.

When my wife was pregnant, we gave up our gig hosting a large tailgate because it was just too much and not enough people chipped in.
After that, we started doing most of our pre-gaming on the North Side of campus, Chimes, varsity, Slinkys, Reginelli's BWW etc. Once a year we take our daughter and let her run loose on the parage grounds. We bring the wagon and puller around campus seeing the sites and visiting old friends. She loves the attention and it keeps her occupied looking at all the stuff.
Each year we have taken a picture on the same corner (W Chimes and Highland) of me holding my daughter with the varsity and Chimes in the background. it is something I plan to kepe a tradition for as long as we both shall live on this earth together. Once a year, we go to a game together and take a picture on that corner.

Why not buy a cheap ticket for the grandparent to come to the game with you? Tickets will be available tomorrow for CHEAP!!! Especially if you want something in the upper decks.

We are bringing the grandmother. Eat at Pastime, hit up a tailgate and spend a quarter or two in tiger stadium!!

completely unacceptable to take an infant to a game. Just my, and I'm sure the majority, opinion
I would like to second (third, fourth, whatever) this - 8 years is about the proper age for a first game, although that can be stretched to about 6. An infant in diapers (and I've seen it done) is just completely unacceptable in my opinion.
The game is televised you know?

I wouldn't do it, to loud and a mess. Plus you wouldn't want someone to throw something and it hit your baby or have someone drunk fall over you with your baby in arm. I when they can walk it's acceptable to bring them, unless you are in a box.
