10-2 seems to be considered a failure to some of you. So, please explain the failure that was this past season.

Well I guess if you purchase tickets, then you basically pay that salary.

Good point.....I would suggest if one is unhappy with the recent compensation increase, give up your tickets. Fight the power!!!

I'll take whoever is giving up a lower bowl sideline.

They won't give up their tickets. They will whine like little bitches and suck it up and work that extra night shift so they can afford to keep their tickets.

if these guys hit their goal 80% of the time in their job, they'd be strutting around like a rooster.

You have to admit, the "1" in that 13-1 was an epic epic failure.

No, going 13-0 in reg season + CCG and then getting blown out & shut out by a team that we already beat on national television is a failure. Standalone, 13-1 is good. But considering that the "1" was what it was.. Failure.

10-2 should be expected not rewarded.

Everybody is just looking at the salary, Remeber that his contract, one that he agreed to, is flooded with incentives to get him Saban-like compensation. Bottom line is 10-2 is respectable, but Les' overall compensation is low comapred to Saban because he didn't reach his goals. And in the end, he still gets rewarded. Wish I had a job like that...miss your goals and come out on top.

I have no credentials other than a season ticket holder...and the man deserves a raise.

I'm an employee whose job it is to meet my goals each quarter. I have consequenses to pay when I fall short of those goals. That makes me qualified to have the opinion that CLM is not raise-worthy. LSU is a premiere football program - our goal is to win the championship; not to be close. It's Ole Miss's goal to be close but not ours.

What about 23-3 soon to be 24-3, and a SEC title and NC birth? Should that be rewarded? Les wasn't given a raise last year or the year before. In fact, I believe its been since 2007 since he's received a raise. It's market value; he is due.

I don't even think "epic epic failure" truly does it justice.

It is the ultimate Bama trump card ... forever.

And, fwiw, I don't care if Miles gets a raise.
