Jmac I couldn't agree more. Les agreed last year to his current contract. He has the opportunity to make Nick Saban money built into his contract. He didn't do the things this season to get the money built into his incentives. That's ok , LSU will cave and increase his salary anyway. Absolutely ludicrous in my opinion. Aleva should have told him to not let the door hit him in the arse.

10-2 seems to be considered a failure to some of you. So, please explain the failure that was this past season.

we only had 4 games on our schedule that should have been contested based on our talent level...period.

We won two and lost two. And, we almost lost four others that shouldn't have been close.

So, do I believe that this year was a failure...no, but I also don't believe that this man deserves a raise based off of what I saw this year.

I would like to see what the ignorant fricks on this board do at their job for a yearly raise and or bonus that are bitching so much about Miles getting a raise for being one of the top 5 in his occupation in the country.

I'm sure most of the people on here aren't even in the top 5 at their current job, let alone the entire country, and I'm willing to bet they would throw a shite fit if they didn't get an annual raise/bonus.

You have to admit, the "1" in that 13-1 was an epic epic failure.
Was it as epic as loosing to a 4-6 ULM team?

Or losing the SECCG and then the Sugar Bowl (to Utah by 2 TDs) after going 12-0?

You idiots need to get a clue.

take John Chavis away from Les Miles...average
take Alabama coordinators away from Alabama...still great.

Please argue this.

What you said literally has absolutely no relevenace to what I said.

Are you arguing that Miles is a top 5 coach in the country?

Losing. and Yes.

Yes.

It was worse than both of those. It will be remembered forever by a lot of people.

When was the last time you saw a highlight reference back to either of the games you mentioned?

What about 23-3

What is he paid to do? I am sure he has a baseline salary loaded with incentive bonuses for winning x number of games, sec west championships, sec championships, national titles and bowl appearances.

My credentials: I work for a living, and just on principle, I believe in getting more money. Just like the founder of Faber College said, "Knowledge Is A Good Thing," I say "More Money Is More."

I'd be happy if all people who work got a 50% raise. shite, make it 100%.

Coach as defined by Webster's dictionary - one who instructs or trains <an acting coach>; especially : one who instructs players in the fundamentals of a sport and directs team strategy.

If this is the definition of a coach then I don't think Les Miles is a top 50 coach....top 50 general manager...maybe yes.

"So, please explain the failure that was this past season."

No failure at all. No reasonable person was suggesting that his pay be cut (which would have required contractual renegotiation) or that he be fired. The question was whether he deserved a significant extension or raise. In my opinion, the answer to that question was "no." Regardless, i am glad he is staying.

10-2 should be expected not rewarded.
How about 13-1? Or going 34-5 in your last 3 seasons? Or winning 78.5% of your games since your last raise?

Should that be rewarded or just expected?

If someone meets every expectation over and over again, and even sometimes exceeds them, should they be rewarded?

All kidding aside...CLM is a bozo. Anyone who watches this clown on the sidelines and in the small amount of video footage that we get a chance to watch knows this.

Only by LSU and Bama retards. It was the general consensus that Bama was the only team in America who could beat LSU last year.

agree. I don't have a problem with him getting a raise. I have a problem with the one(s) who approve the raise though.
Yes Les is good, successful, blah, blah, blah. But sonofabitch, does he deserve a raise because Arky is manic about sucking arse? No!

Please elaborate my friend. I'm so tired of hearing about this guys winning percentage. Only fools put results ahead of the process of how you get there. This guy has had a rabbits foot jammed up his arse starting back when early doucet bobbled and caught the 4th down pass from jamarcus Russell back at Arizona State in 05.
