that LSU just happened to recruit the most inept 5-star and (2) 4-star QBs in the history of D-1 sports. All of these guys came here knowing how to do some kind of quarterbacking. Now JJ looks like he'd have trouble hanging on to his starting spot a Destrahan, Lee remains terribly inconsistent, and we're told that Shepard simply can't learn the playbook and/or throw the ball. How the hell do other programs get at least average play out of 3-star guys throwing to 2 and 3-star receivers.

We clearly have an offensive problem--not just a QB problem. And it goes back to the coaching, the scheme, and the player development. Lee showed us a little bit earlier this season, but over the last two weeks he's now looked just like the old Lee--minus the long bombs and pick 6s.

We won't fix this with a change at QB. Not Lee, not JJ, not Shep, not Zach Mettenberger. Crowton will frick him up, too.

Our problems run deep. Hell, the receivers are regressing.

do you realize that Les Miles can overrule anything that Crowton does? Les Miles is the sole reason for our fricked up joke of an offense.

All true, I see recievers all over the country making adjustments and catching the ball. Far less talented than LSU has. The problems run much deeper than QB.

Jefferson was supposed to be a project. Was not supposed to be ready to make a significant impact until he was a junior.

Lee obviously needed at least an extra year on the sidelines before he could be ready.

As for Shep, he just wanted a shot at playing QB, He stopped working with the QBs since the UF game in 2009. We needed to find way to get him on the field more (we were a failure at that I know). I think he should play RB instead of WR.

Please define this. He has one average game in limited PT with a banged up wrist? I think that he looked pretty good in the last game.

Oh, now I see. You don't want a change (ie: take JJ out) at QB. You JJ supporters are so transparent.

Prove it! noeone has been able to prove one way or the other that MIles over rules anything at all its all speculation. Now if someone could give concrete evidence not just my uncles sisters cousin that knows a guy sayd or something like that then you could make an argument about it that would actually hold water

and what's going to change if that happens? what quality OC is going to come in and risk their career with a buffoon like les miles that'll limit & restrict the job that they're hired to do?

I've said for weeks that JJ should be benched. Go ahead, do a search. That said, he was responsible for every point that went on the board last night.

He can, but I'm not convinced that he has the expertise to run an offense himself. He needs a good coordinator.

And yes, I realize that not firing Crowton is his fault.

IF this is true then Crowton is a bigger idiot than any of us thought who in their right mind would stay at a job that is being limited and making his and his name look bad ......... that is why I can't imigine that he is being handcuffed that much because I know I wouldn't sacrifice my good name for a job that made me look like shite seeing as when he gets fired he needs to go somewhere else

Since no one can convince you, and you know all there is to know,..and you have all the answers,..then what is the point...TRASHING PLAYERS..COACH'S...WHAT IS THAT GONNA GET YOU?..do you feel better now that you've had your say?...will the team be any better?...NOPE...

"The series of plays at the back end of that game was embarrassing to me," said Miles, who usually does not call plays but has veto power. "We should have called two plays with our goal-line personnel so we would have gotten two plays. That's what should have been called, but that's not what happened.

"I better get it fixed. We have a very talented team."

LINK

I can't believe some of you still haven't realized this yet.

He's also said that he and Gary decide on what plays they will run and that Crowton is only supposed to call those plays.

THIS. everyone is putting all of the blame on the QB's and Crowton and none on the embarassing dunce we have for a head coach. everyone thought Jimbo Fisher was the problem when he was here too. this garbage arse shite has Les Miles written all over it. i honestly can't remember an offense this shitty even when Curley was here. HONESTLY.

Fwiw, Shep was a 5 star athlete. Not a 5 star qb.
