This was said about lee at one time as well.

What is the difference in the two situations? BTW, Lee put numbers up that year. I didn't want him gone...just wanted him to be more careful.

JJ puts up nothing. No offense, no numbers, hell he can;t even get first downs. Instead he turns the ball over in scoring position. At least Lee scored touchdowns when giving up turnnovers...JJ JUST turns it over.

Then add it in the reaction by the player....Lee says he is gonna work harder and try harder and puts the blame on himself.

JJ:

"I played well today"
"WHat do you want we're 6-0"
"Give me time I'm still learning"
"We both put points on the board"

The kid is a cancer, he has no concept about team atmosphere and being the LEADER in that atmosphere. Just look at his reactions on/off the field. It's sad, and I blame that blithering idiot Miles for continuing to put that kid out there.

Asked if was feeling the pressure to beat Auburn and hold off Lee for the starting job,

Jefferson said no. “No pressure,” he said. “He’s just had some great plays called for him, and he’s executed the way he’s needed to, to put points on the board. It just happens that way. Both of us are putting points on the board.

Really, Jefferson? Your excuse is that Lee gets better plays called for him? Oh, pleaze!

Maybe if you weren't always making excuses or living in denial you'd realize that Lee is a more effective passer which, in turn, opens up more running lanes for Ridley. Or maybe the coaches know that you suck but don't want to hurt your feelings so they mostly call read option plays or options to the weak side.

and as far as putting points on the board, you better thank ya boy Lee for getting you in that position.

Don't forget "They called great plays for Jarrett"

Edit: I see you beat me to it

My favorite was the "what do you want? I mean we're 6-0." That shite was golden.

I would trade JJ for any LSU starting Quarterback in the last 40 years. And yes, I am including Daigle, Howard, Graves and Booty. Hell, I will even throw in some back-ups like Mickey Guidrey, Ryan Huffman and Craig Nall.

That being said, I don't blame JJ for the playing time he is getting. When the coach tells him to go in the game, what is he supposed to do? Say, "no coach, I think Lee is playing better...let him get the snaps".

Lets at least hope JJ recognized those plays as looking somewhat familiar...

And JJ has a 52% completion pct and Jlee is 71%. Doesn't change the fact that JJ will still play.

false hope is no hope at all.

JJ had no idea where those plays came from.

Miles has done this to JJ.

This! Miles continually throws him back into the game and it is crushing him emotionally. JJ isnt stupid he sees JL moving the offense and scoring. I dont fault JJ what is he suppose to say when Miles tells him to go in? No ?? He is a competitor. He is not having fun playing JL is.

Maybe Les and Crowton read it.

Les says his wife reads the paper and lets him know what is being said. Hope she doesn't miss this.

Actually yes! If he was a true team player he would realize he's not getting it done and send Lee in himself. I would actually stand up and applaud him for doing this b/c he would be putting the team ahead of himself! I know what im saying is probably ridiculous, but alot of people would respect him for doing this.

As bad as he is that is really ridiculous. He should have confidence in himself even though no one else does. I didn't respect VY when he pretended to be hurt when he was getting booed. Last night when he came out the game after his fumble I thought he was faking his injury. I don't think JJ wants to be labeled like that.

Until they line him up at another position, and he out-competes whoever starts there (DLO - no way; RB - no way), this is irrelevant.

Faking an injury is a different scenario. This would be in the best interest of the team, in the sole interest of what's best for winning the game. Jefferson needs some time as Lee did last year to step out of the situation and try and clear his head. Maybe, just maybe by taking some time off he could gain some confidence back in case he was needed later in the year or next year. I'm not saying I expect Jefferson to do this, but it would be a pretty honorable thing IMO if he did this. It would be a giant step towards maturity, something he obviously lacks.

Maybe, like JJ, you need to grow a set.

To me there is no comparison....there is question. The only thing wrong with this situation is there is no decision. The horrendous statement by JJ in todays paper should have no impact on whether or not he should play......the only thing it does is back up the evidence. Why the hell are we still having this discussion?
