He's gonna make one hell of a backup quarterback/clipboard holder/holder on Special teams.

For the next 2 years tho, Harris is our guy. Etling will never start.

Knowing Miles, he may never see the field after the spring game.

With very limited video I have seen the same thing. Etling was putting the ball in the chest of the receivers, or in their outstretched hands as they ran routes. Will be interesting for sure....

"Etlinburg done it before, he done it i seen't him! put him in, gawhhhdd, ettlin'burger is gettin' shafted 'gain. Jared Lee all over again. *belch*"

-half the stadium, probably

I don't understand this. If BH had set the world on fire last season I'd get it. The offense was severely limited due to his limitations. BH has done nothing to lock the job up. I hope Etling ngwins the job

Brandon has never gone through a Spring and Summer taking all the first team snaps. Last year he was a true sophomore with no meaningful experience and had to split 1st team reps in practice.

Having tons of experience, adding weight, taking first team snaps in Spring and Summer, and having Cam Cameron on the field will all combine to make Brandon a much improved QB in 2016.

Not to mention having his WRs all back and having both stud RBs back to take pressure off of him.

He is a very intelligent kid as well. I hate that people don't understand this.

Is this his last year of eligibility or does he have another one after this?

You sincerely hope the kid who couldn't cut it at Purdue is our starting QB?

Miles gave him the lobotomy. He'll have this in his head every snap, and it will make him play tentative.

I've never questioned his intelligence I've questioned his ability to complete a short pass. It's the people here that dismiss Etling out of hand when Harris hasn't shown anything that is maddening. I want BH to be successful but I'm not confident that he will be.

Why would you not hope that the incumbent keeps the position? You actually want LSU to have three different quarterbacks in three years as starters. That's asinine.

In his Defense he was battling against two Elite 11 QBs.

Etling has shown that he was fricking terrible at Purdue. So bad that he was benched for another terrible QB.

And he hasn't been in the system nearly as long as Harris. They have similar game experience except Harris played in our system against better competition.

Maybe that's why people dismiss him or any idea that he would start over Harris.

No what's asinine is wanting to hand BH the keys without considering the others on the team

How exactly do you know this after a few days of spring practice?

He's in the process of locking the job up. He'll need a good spring, summer and fall camp, obviously, but it's not like anybody on the Rant is going to know one way or another.

Miles already coming out and saying he's more than likely the starter should tell you a lot given how close to the vest he usually plays QB competitions.

I think Miles has formed his deadly "Loyalty Pact" with Harris. Harris will play no matter what. I see plenty of Hand offs in Harris future in a Protective Passing system.

Because if one of the other guys is a better QB, it would be asinine to keep the same starter just for some consistency's sake.

If the year 3 QB is better than the year 1 and year 2 QB, YES YES YES.
