I mean the guy isn’t going to be a 1st round pick (or a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th tbh). He likely thinks the lsu game isn’t going to be very good film for him. You can reference his stats against any halfway decent Big10 team like wisconsin, Iowa, not to mention Michigan. Seems to hover around a 50% completion percentage and is on the wrong end of the TD/INT ratio in such games. Actually, taking a quick look at his performance, his only real shot at being a relevant pick would be to ball out against LSU. Oh well. Sooner or later these guys who aren’t sure things in the draft may realize that pretending to be a big-shot out in California and giving some “guru” thousands of dollars to run drills might be less valuable than just playing in the bowl game.

What's the point of these games anymore?

I personally love bowl games. In a sport that sees so few high-quality inter-conference matchups, it would be a shame to get rid of these. We may, though, have to start changing the way we think about them. Increasingly, outside the playoff and maybe the New Years 6, these may need to be looked at as showcases for the up-and-coming talent, a "preview of coming attractions" if you will. Sadly, too many guys finishing their college careers just don't seem interested in playing.

Just let Nuss start. If LSU wins, he gets the starting job.

What a little bitch. He gets a chance to lead Purdue to a major bowl win over the SEC runner up and bails? Sad lack of chest.

I was pissed to, but then I remembered that his coach had already bailed, so he probably doesnt see the point.

Texas A&M says hello...

LSU should have beaten Aggie by 3 TDs. So lets not chalk anything up as win....
Its been a great season but that was beyond an embarrassing loss. LSU lost to a team with less SEC wins than Vandy

My point I hope they come ready to play.. 10 wins would be big.

Aggie has tons of talent and that RB will play on Sunday's

So instead of lsu winning by 3 touchdowns it should have been by 7-10 points?

I thought the overwhelming consensus on this board after the A&M game was that lsu should have won.

Bowl games matter, but the result of the bowl game doesn't matter. It's really only good for letting young guys get reps and letting seniors see the field one last time (or for the first time, for some of them). You can't really derive meaningful conclusions about which team was better this season from a bowl game.

Or maybe you don’t watch them. Some of us like extra football. Does your liberalism mind if we do what we want while allowing you to do the same?

How long before the bowl sponsors start pulling their money because of the dropouts?

This is why I NEVER judge coaches on their (non-playoff) bowl records.

You reminded me that Arnsparger was 0-3 in bowl games for us and he was the best coach between Dietzel and Saban.

Bad news for us. Everybody’s back up plays like the second coming of Tom Brady against us.

Please college football just do away with the bowl games. They are a complete waste of time. The game has evolved

When people stop watching. All of these posters bitching about how meaningless bowl games are will likely watch some games that are not LSUs and will definitely watch LSUs.

As soon as you drop your hands, you get punched in the mouth. Some of you haven't learned. Show up and play.

This game continues to lose the little appeal it initially had by the day.
