I'd be ok with looking at the usf coach

I don’t have a problem with waiting until next year at least. What I hope we don’t do is burn tens of millions trying to save Kelly’s arse. He is likely going to want a completely rebuilt offense with players and coaches to save his job. I say forget it. Coach with what he has here including Davis and Sloan until he gets fired in a year or two.

The college coaching landscape is changing. More schools are adopting the NFL model of player personnel departments to acquire talent and then let the coaches coach. I totally agree that reducing these responsibilities on the coaches and now having to pay an entirely new department that the coaching salaries should be adjusted, but I really don’t know if this does adjust. I also believe that in the past the position coaches and coordinators were expected to be great recruiters and development of players wasn’t the number one priority. Now, let the player personnel department acquire the talent and hire assistants who are great at teaching technique, player development, developing schemes, etc.
