I've been one of the ones mad about all of his mistakes, but he looked really good yesterday.
Let's hope he can continue and add one more bat to this lineup.

So we now give props for doing the expected?

Well he kinda deserves them lol
Would you rather him commit 3 errors and go 0-4?
It's a step in the right direction for someone who's had a rough season

Oh for sure but he looked capable last night instead of his usual liability self
He was pretty solid last year
Let's hope he's back to his normal self

why wouldn't we? We expect Dylan Crews to play like one of the best players in the country and give him props when he does.

Thompson has been playing much better lately. In the last 7 games, he's 11/24 (.458) with 2 HRs, 3 BBs, 2 HBPs (.552 OBP) 6 RBIs and just 1 error in the field

He looked better. No doubt.

Should have had that line drive though for sure. Hit him right in the glove.

Definitely should've had that line drive
But he made up for it
I really hope he can sustain this

Thompson has the same batting average as Cade Doughty but you’ll never hear anyone say that.

He is working very hard. Notice that many of his mistakes occur withpotential double plays. If he can slow his mind to synch with his movements, hewill be okay.

He's also 3rd on the team in doubles behind Doughty and Morgan, and his OPS is marginally lower than Morgan's. He also doesn't strike out much either. The only starters who strike out less often are Morgan and Berry. I think too many people see his issues with defense and then overexaggerate their opinions of his offense as a result.

He's done it again
Let's hope he can keep this hot streak going
He made some elite plays in the field too
WE GONNA SWEEP?!

He led the team in errors (15, only 2 less than this year) and had the team's second worst fielding% last season. LINK
You have an unusual interpretation of solid.

The brain washing of you Pawl lovers is literally scary. The kid literally misses two routine balls last night and he makes one routine play today and he’s some hero. The kid is the one of the worst shortstops on the nation in fielding percentage yet he’s done hero today. The baseball fan base is no different than any other cult. Do it die no matter what.

I think having Cranford playing right next to him is putting more pressure on him than he’s had all year. Cranford’s glove has always been insane and Thompson has the best view there is. Seems to have prompted him to lock in and up his game (at least for two games ).

He did still have an error though, the box gave him a gift by marking it as a hit. Was definitely an error 99/100 times though.

Morgan took a double play away from him. That was a great throw.

I, and my posts and this thread, were mostly referring to his bat.
He's looked better in the field but he wasnt a good fielder last year or for most of this year. All I'm trying to do is give credit to a player who's come through clutch in a late year series
