Really? Are you serious?

Here is the whole problem: a bunch of people with NO respect for anyone else says that they'll curse all they want and if you don't like it stay home - Tiger Stadium isn't a church.

And, everyone else is just supposed to say that's acceptable? Wrong. It isn't. If you raise your children that way, they'll curse you too. The reason some people don't want there to be standards or a God is because they don't want any accountability whatsoever for whatever they decide to do in the moment - except for when they think others should be held accountable. Its total rleativism and it doesn't work.

Watch the game at your house then bro, you bitching on this board isn't going to stop drunk people from cursing. You probably hate it when people stand up during games too

Um. No you can't. You can hear people cheering through the television.

It isn't a Jesus thread. But, it is a morality thread and when you talk about ethics and morals and how you act in front of others, it is natural to bring up religion. Probably 90% of the people on the planet are religious in one form or another, so brining it up isn't exactly outside of the norm.

Indeed, civility has declined, the decline is such is simply a symptom of a bigger decline in our society.

Don't be so hard on the fans. Between the lackluster offense, poor play calling, and the 2 QB system, it's hard to watch at times. I have heard nuns dropping the f-bomb this year while watching LSU football. A nice 14pt lead at halftime would help the situation. You've got to go for a touchdown Run up the score. Make Mike the Tiger stand right up and roar. Right? This coach is happy leading by a FG. frick!

Can we go one week without posters defending blatant public disrespect of others?

Sure people curse, I think people here speaking out against it are referring to groups of folks that substitute F-bombs and the like for their primary commentary during the game...It's a distraction, it's annoying and it's wrong. Abusive

Why are people defending drunks and people who just don't seem to care about their neighbor?

I think the reason Jesus is being introduced is because people are defending nonsense even after having the time to analyze what they believe on the issue before they make a post.

You have become numb to the world and it's ways...

if children are permitted in games, then I think public boundaries of decency are set as such...Tiger Stadium is not a bar or singles club.

I became a Tiger fan early on in life because my Father took me to Tiger stadium when I was young. Don't we want our children in LSU families to love the tigers? To see the games live?

I agree with you on that. But, in the profanity discussion, we are talking about children hearing it and on that level, I think it does become a moral issue. Does anyone think it is appropriate for children to hear F-bombs repeatedly?

Is anyone okay with children not going to football games in Tiger Stadium?

All we're saying is that people should have enough self control to notice who is around them when they are cursing.

Some of these guys think they are playing the game and their cursing will make a difference in the outcome. Delusional.

The first time I went to a game in the late 1960's as a young kid, I heard language in Tiger Stadium that I had never heard before. I also heard a lot of the N word.

yea it was probably worse back then if i had to bet with the racist stuff going on in Louisiana. hell the KKK still had pretty good numbers back then. people forget about this stuff and always think it gets worse every day. they are probably depressed.

Nothing new under the sun, but you have to admit, today's youth along with the American culture has become more and more OK with bad Language

Maybe I just noticed it more because I was young, but the language in TS in the 80s and early 90s was much worse than today.

Of course, it was also more deserved.
