I know nobody gives a care but I have to get this off my chest. I've been a season ticket holder for 35+ years. There used to be an occasional drunk using prafane language but it has gotten totally out of hand. It has now become the norm rather than the exception. Why do so many people think they have the right to yell obscenities all game long? The person it's directed at on the field can't possibly hear them and even if they could, they wouldn't give a hoot. My wife had her fill of it yesterday and won't be returning. I wouldn't even consider taking a child to a game these days. It is totally inconsiderate and shows a total lack of class. And don't tell me that's the way it is everywhere because it's not. Enough is enough!

I'd rather go back to the days of smelling bourbon from the field rather than a bunch of F-bombs being dropped around families.

I hate how cursing has just become too easy. It's like nobody can be creative anymore.

College students+alumni+copious amounts of alcohol =/= family friendly atmosphere. I'm not sure what you are expecting.

To the OP: cursing has become the norm and perfectable acceptable by most. Do you have teenage children? If not, you'd be surprised by the things that parents allow their kids to not only SAY but do.

My kids know better ... that said, I myself let a few words fly last night ... under my breath for the most part.

I'm not arguing one way or another, but If you dont think it goes on all over the place you need to expand your horizons. Not saying it's right, but hell, Wisconsin has an eat shite frick you chant and a let's get shitty chant. And profanity is dropped at every sports venue I have ever been to.

I'm in and it's pretty rowdy. I drink bourbon all game, but I don't hear a whole lot of profanity at all. I keep hearing about other people having problems with profanity but I just never hear it.

also, if you're screaming at the top of your lungs the whole game you won't hear any of the profanity.

if you have a child old enough to be in school beyond, lets say 2nd grade, they have heard their share of cuss words already...

There's a faction that has been taught (or have convinced themselves) that being stinking drunk and cussing like a drill sergeant is an LSU tradition that goes back to Doc Fenton's day.

I took my sons to the UNC game this year and all but decided that I'd pretty much rather watch at home than go subject my family (or myself, for that matter) to the kind of stuff that they saw and heard that night. For the money spent going to games, you can have one hell of a home setup while not having to deal with people acting out the lowest that society has to offer.

It doesn't bother me that much. If there are kids around you should watch what you say but other than that, I don't think it really is that big of an issue. But the "F" word is the second most used word in my vocab next to the "MF" word.

Not sure how you define everywhere, but not in my work place, not in my home, not at my kids school, not at my church, don't hear it when I go to the mall, never had a sales person use it when trying to make a sale,

Get the picture?

By the way, had this happen to me a couple of years ago at an LSU ballgame- I stepped across the aisle, explained to the young man how offensive it was and then requested he politely refrain- as I walked away I turned and told if he continued I would ask security to escort him out- With that I looked at a sheriff's deputy- waived to him- he nodded back Problem solved
