Problem with fake requirements

There is no vaccine/testing requirement at Tiger Stadium.
Gate 3, no check. Seats lower west, folks around us all mentioned being confused when they were not checked and thought they just slipped in. Walked over to lower east to visit some friends (plenty of empty seats to choose from. They entered Gate 11. No check. It became a discussion point among a dozen or so in attendance in the area (the plentiful television and injury timeouts allowed for that). Nobody was checked.
Not complaining about the absence of the check. It was a stupid policy if the goal was to reduce transmission. That wasn’t the goal. The goal is to make not being vaccinated as inconvenient as possible. If you have no problem with this tactical approach to increase vaccination, consider the impact: my trusting (vaccinated) wife (no pics) said “I don’t believe anything they tell us anymore.” These fake requirements will only cause the ranks of the doubtful to swell. Maybe that’s a good thing, but it’s unfortunate. I am not a denier, but I have reached the same place as my wife: I don’t believe a thing those in authority tell us.

It’s not about reducing transmission. It’s about boosting vaccine numbers. Makes the governor look better to his political overlords as campaign donors (hospitals, for one).

Full disclosure— i’m fully vaccinated and think the data clearly shows people should get the jab, but i fully understand the unvaxxed’s hesitancy.

Friend of mine told me his daughter and kids went to get pre check bracelets and had to present no info for the kids. Also said that they went in (group of 4) and nobody scanned their tickets...

I had a picture of my card on my phone. The guy scanning the tickets at the gate looked surprised I even had it out to show him. It’s a complete farce. If you’re going to make this pronouncement, actually do it. If it’s actually for the safety of the hospitals, fricking check. If not, quit this pandering BS

So, is it the general consensus that vax checks are NOT actually happening? Got tix for FL game in a few weeks and plan to give them away, unless I can get in without jab certification. Hell, I may now want to go to that game anyway if the Tigers don't sharpen up!
