Why do you think ticket prices are so high?

Could you imagine how much cheaper the tickets would be if no band at half time...

Thanks Jambalaya...really

It’s on the band to be creative and take their own revenge in these cases.

For instance, if the halftime entertainer is Miley Cyrus or Mariah Carey, the band could play them on and off the field with Patsy Cline’s “Crazy”.

The Stanford band were pros at this years ago.

Half time shows are come across pretty awful on tv. Nobody at home is going to care if they show that or not

I won’t watch it.
The Tiger band is fantastic for pregame and best in the country in the stands.
Their halftime shows are very underwhelming.

Kind of selfish of the band to drive the price up so high and price out the common fan.

I love all aspects of the game, and the experience wouldn’t be the same without the band. That being said, this comes off as a bit Dabo-ish.

From wikipedia: In 1994, the band was disciplined after nineteen members skipped a field rehearsal in Los Angeles to play outside the Los Angeles County Superior Courthouse during jury selection for the O.J. Simpson murder trial. The band's song selection included an arrangement of The Zombies' "She's Not There." Defense lawyer Robert Shapiro described the incident to the media as "a new low in tasteless behavior.”

And that’s tame.

Instead of showcasing the best band in the nation,
Not even remotely close to being the best band in the country. (Not even the best band in the SEC/SEC West, more less the entire country)
(Tiger Band Alum here stating this, but that program is only a fragile shell of it's former greatness thanks to Talley and Queen)

But you know who gets the shaft? Our very own Golden Band From Tiger Land. They practice all year, compete (in their own right) at every half time with a tough SEC schedule,

Love our band and the home game experience would not be the same without them, but they do not go to all of the away games, the halftime show is never shown on tv anyway, and because the football team has earned a spot in the national championship games does automatically mean the band is the best in nation
