Is O'Neal back yet? Sounds like we could use his length and athleticism in this game.

I would assume Wade already knows. If I had to guess I would say he’s playing just because idk how you’re a game time decision a week ago then still not ready. We desperately need him. He is our 2nd best shooter and he’s absolutely elite as a defender on the wing. When he is on the floor at 2, your lineup is extremely long and wreaks havoc. Pinson, Gaines, Justice all have their own solid abilities, but they’re on the smaller/thinner side

Yea he’s gotta be playing. We clearly missed him on the floor last game.

No idea about Reef. Wade said he’s currently in the “cleared and practicing” phase. Justice apparently did that for 2 weeks and then popped up vs Auburn. I would expect Reef to make an appearance either this weekend vs Tenn or at the LATEST next weekend

Murray tweaked a hammy, I hope they don’t rush it, if they do it will limit him for the rest of the season.

Said he slightly pulled it. They thought he could play vs Auburn. I’m not saying he’s definitely playing, but he warmed up against auburn and didn’t play. I feel like that would be rushing it. By game time it will have been 6 days since auburn. Wade was never gonna say yes or no about him playing regardless

Their starting wings shoot the 3 well but they get almost all of them off of Wheelers penetration kick outs. Stop Wheeler from collapsing the D and we stop their 3 point shooters. It’ll be hard to keep the big boy off of the boards but we can limit his scoring off of those rebounds. He’s only 6-9 so we’ll need to use our length to cause misses and block shots on his put back attempts.

Efton Reid needs to get more aggressive under the basket… he needs to body up and slam it home..he needs to get his shot off much quicker, he’s way too tentative under the basket..typical of a freshman learning the ropes of college basketball.. I’m sure he will improve and it might just come at the right time for LSU…

I really like your previews and thorough break downs. This will be a fun game to watch. I think LSU will struggle to score enough to win the game. They will need to have a good game shooting from 3 to win this one.

Efton Reid has his hands full dealing with F Oscar Tshiebwe 6'9 255. He's a man!
Our guards need to stay in front of their PG Wheeler. Stop him from penetrating and he's not much imo.
Boot Up!

Wade seemed to hint at him (O’Neal) seeing spot minutes against UK tomorrow night during his pregame presser today.

Great stuff. I’m insanely excited for tomorrow night with the basketball and football game. This Kentucky game is huge for the season. Can’t lose to Kentucky and let the wheels fall off and let the season unravel. As always frick John Calipari, I think it’s going to be a tightly contested game the whole way. Atmosphere should be good, and @ the PMAC for Kentucky tomorrow will be tough.

Even if we lose to Kentucky it doesn’t mean the wheels are falling off? That’s the problem with LSU fans.

But yes, frick Cal

It doesn't mean the wheels are falling off, but it does start to bring in a little concern that the 12-0 start was somewhat of fool's gold.

The loss at Auburn was expected. That LSU played so poorly offensively was disappointing, but a loss is a loss. Kentucky is a good team. Probably the second best team in the SEC right now with the way they are playing. Certainly game 2 of the SEC schedule isn't a "must win". But with the first 7 games being brutal and this being a home game there is a sense this is one of those games LSU needs to win if they have goals of winning the SEC and getting a high seed in the NCAAT.

I’ll never agree that the 2nd game of the SEC is a must win. Especially if we don’t have a healthy Murray on the floor. LSU’s start to SEC is insane and it was always going to be difficult. There are too many overreactions for each game win or lose, and the season is long. We could lose tonight and still go 13-5 or 12-6 and have a top 20 NET easily.

It’s a massive game tonight because its the biggest chance of the year to bring in the casual LSU basketball fan. Lose tonight and, as dumb as it sounds, a lot of people will give up on this team. Win tonight and all of the sudden LSU basketball becomes a big deal around town and the PMAC is rocking the rest of the season.
