if there was any year for NOT going, it's this one...

having lived through the COVID testing routines over the last week (all negative) I can tell you that testing isn't a pleasant experience at all...

then you have the business of letting them go home for Christmas and getting them back together for practice...

call it a year and let these young men go home!!!!

particularly after last week, they earned it!!!

There are 12 bowl games that have already been canceled. I wouldn't be surprised of 1 or 2 more get canceled, then you never know if a team deals with Covid issues the week of their bowl game and it ends up getting canceled.

With all of the sexual assault issues going on, this couldn't be a better year to self ban your program from going to a bowl game.

As a parent, this infuriates me and obviously many other parents who fill that getting a bowl draw this year would be a great positive for this team going forward

let the kids play?

Kids are still opting out. How invested do you really think they are? There’s nothing to be gained by playing in meaningless bowl with zero fans, restricted or non existent activities by the host city in a raging pandemic.
It’s better to attempt to placate the NCAA and hope we’re not affected in the future and prohibited from the post season.
So......take your indignation and shove it far up your arse!

Cut your losses in a year when your team REALLY sucks and would probably get embarrassed in a bowl game and in turn would hurt recruiting which would only exacerbate shitty football performance in years to come.

This is what you do when heads are about to roll. No sense in letting the players get two more weeks of better execution of a scheme that won’t be around next year, plus you don’t miss out on candidates that will be hired in the next two weeks.

You really want to go there?? Using a posters post count to judge if they are adult? What a fricking moron you are.

You have been on this forum for a total of 5 days, during which time you have posted 323 times. This gives you an average of 64.6 post per day. Extrapolate that out for one year and you will have 23,579 posts in the next 365 days.

CharlesLSU has 27,924 posts as of a couple of minutes ago but he has been posting since 2007 for a grand total of 5.88 posts per day on average.

I think if we hadn't have self-banned ourselves, we would have lost to Florida, so I'm glad we did it.

"If" we can go 5-5 that's about as good as you can hope for after Brennan got hurt and we lost to Mizzou. The season ending means it's easier to make coaching changes also. I just hope the 20 straight years of non losing seasons continues.

I think your goal is to break the all-time record for downvotes on TR. I wish I could give you more than just one to help you achieve that goal.

Let’s beat ole miss and have a non losing season. Let the players and coaches enjoy Christmas and look forward to next year.

Nope, not an alter and not a cheerleader. I just plain fricked up. I glanced at your profile and saw join date of 12/19 and my brain stopped functioning and I assumed 2020. In any case I did mess that up and I do apologize. However the fact remains that being indignant about a bowl ban this year is not a sensible stance to hold.

I agree. I don't care if the only bowl invitation LSU gets is to the Red Neck Bowl in Butcher Holler Kentucky.....play in the darned bowl damnit. I recall Orgeron saying LSU would play in a gravel parking lot if necessary.

But first......beat Ole Miss.
