Preventing this team from a potential bowl game is stupid

first off, with a win against ole miss, this battle ridden tiger team with all that has gone against them this year which is mountain full, will be 5-5. getting a bowl draw would be a refreshing change for the young players on this team and can have a 6-5 finish having a winning record. now if O and whomever wanted to take that away from the kids, why dont they self ban themselves and let the kids play? As a parent, this infuriates me and obviously many other parents who fill that getting a bowl draw this year would be a great positive for this team going forward. whatever reason orgeron chose to prevent the tigers from having an extra game IS NOT the fault of the kids who have shed blood, sweat and tears for this dam season. whomever is responsible for this shite can suck a fat cock and needs to be fired.

I promise you these kids would rather go home to see their families than go to some 2nd tier bowl game against a mediocre opponent in a year where all of the entertainment perks of a bowl game will be largely curtailed, if not eliminated all together. Plus, with the season ending so late the teams would not get the same number of bowl practices. These guys have had to live under "strict protocols" for 6 months. Let them have a little "freedom" at home. I doubt any would miss playing some 2-3 Big 10 team

In short, if there was EVER a year to skip a bowl game...this is it!

Would you prefer that the program potentially get nuked by the NCAA instead?

This team doesn’t need to play anymore. Let the kids go home. There was nothing to gain from playing a G5 team in the Independence Bowl

Do you think he just woke up one day and decided "Hmm, no bowl this year"?

When the NCAA comes to town, they punish the current team because they are punishing the school ultimately.

LSU enacted the bowl ban as an attempt to head off a worse NCAA penalty. LSU didn't just decide not to play the bowl game because O didn't want to play.

The bowl games are useless this year unless it's a playoff or ny6.

These kids don't wanna travel just to sit in a room until game time, and that's all that would be happening thanks to covid

I’m quite sure it was not an Orgeron decision

This 100%

The best parts about the bowl games from the player perspectives aren’t happening this year. Nobody wants to just show up to some crap location just to play a team nobody cares about beating, without any of the cool activities that go along with that.

It’s been a long, shitty year. Let them enjoy the holidays with friends and family.

A huge advantage of a bowl is the ability to continue to develop your team... This means nothing in 2020...

Bowls are a reward too for the fans... This means nothing in 2020.

Bowls are expensive to attend... This means something in 2020.

Continue to work on this team and LSU football and put a bow on the 2020 pandemic season.

I can't believe you're old enough to be a parent. None of this makes any sense. You really think they would've chosen to not have these practices? This is jumping on a grenade to save worse penalties. C'mon man.

This guy is playing 4D chess yall. I love it. Can't you see? By making these points about players missing a bowl game and how it hurts them, he's making a case for the idea that this "bowl ban" punishment is legitimately a punishment and not some easy convenient cop-out like the nation says it is

Do you really not think Woodward called his buddy and son’s father in law who just happens to be the president of the NCAA and asked “hey if we go ahead and ban ourselves from a bowl game this year y’all would be cool with that and not ban us from another right”?

Because next year could be a bigger bowl with a bigger payout than this year’s would be.
