This is the worst case that would happen. LSU will lose between 4-6 games. Good observation. Watch the ignorant tiger fans now start ripping you apart. They are assholes.

@ Texas A & M----

WHAT will the team have to play for if they have a losing record by then ? Welcome some lowest level bowl game. I'm confused-Just EXACTLY WHAT has Orgeron DONE to earn this unbridled support? The fact that a goof hired him? Don't tell me how good Orgeron is-SHOW me how good Orgeron is. And he has NOT shown much in his ENTIRE head coaching career. Hired the best offensive coordinator he could find-THEN proceeds to interfere with said OC. AND THEN has that OC "bought out" and get his friend the OC job. WHO happened to be the OC BEFORE they hired the "best OC" available. WTF? A school like LSU DESERVES much better than what O is and has done.

My honest opinion is that we can beat Miami on a neutral field if we are well prepared.

Still think Florida is a possibility also because of talent alone.

Texas A&M is a toss-up as of today only because of new staff at TA&M. Otherwise we win that game for sure.

Try and be optimistic.

Now, the 2019 season? Expectations will be a lot higher.

LSU football hasn’t been any more successful in 2017 and 2016 then it was in 2015. In fact, in a number of measurements LSU football actually regressed in 2017.

Expecting LSU football fans to be content with 4 L’s last season with two of those losses producing significant embarrassment to our program is more than a little naïve.

Coach O has been on staff at LSU since 2015. He has been either interim coach or head coach since September 2016. He has been calling the shots on the sidelines for 21 LSU football games.

Fair or not, it’s going to be a put up or shut up season for LSU football. Not long ago, 10 wins was found not to be exceptable by more than a few LSU football fans. It’s somewhat amusing to me that now eight or nine wins is the LSU ceiling because we have a tough schedule. Except for last year, when hasn’t LSU had a tough schedule??

Glad alot of you are okay with 8-4 and hoping for a citrus bowl. Sad times.

You realize there is a difference between people expecting us to go 8-4 and being "okay" with going 8-4 right?

You posted you think we are going to go 6-6, and many don't believe we will drop the UF and A&M game. Thinking we are going 8-4 and being fine with it are two different things, baw.

Those two losses, where Moo State scored 37 points on Aranda's defense and a very good 12 & 2 Troy State team scored 24 points on Aranda's defense are not on coach O. As it wasn't O who left the team with no depth. Instead, it was the legacy of Les Miles still haunting this LSU football team. I'm so glad he is finally gone. Anyway, no one is going to convince me that Aranda would have allowed those two teams to score so many points against his defense without inadequate depth.

Then when O gets all over Canada's arse for his piss poor offensive game planning and play calling against Moo State, Syracuse, and Troy State last year, it means O is guilty of meddling even though he is the freaking head coach. Yeah right. He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

Anyway, O got it turned around when his detractors were screaming he wouldn't win 4 games and went on a 6 & 1 tear to end the regular season and actually outgained Alabama at Alabama in that one game he lost.

The bowl loss was a fluke, similar to the Florida loss in 2016. As LSU was the better team on the field in both of those games and I don't care what you haters say because I know it is not true.

Finally, he is treated with the respect of a coach that finished 4 & 9, instead of 9 & 4.

Then O is trashed for this last recruiting class, but you know what, it met our needs as it addressed that severe lack of depth that harmed the team in the Moo State and Troy State losses last season. Not to mention that this was also one of the weakest in-state classes anyone can remember in a long, long time. But, nonetheless, O didn't do too bad considering the circumstances, as we ended up with the number one receiver class, the number three defensive line class, the number six linebacker class, and the number 9 offensive line class.

Go ahead, down vote away.

1. You listed every team that might be good as a loss. Some of those teams will suck next year. And we’ll likely beat a good team as we beat Auburn last year.

He also has LSU winning all but one game they’d be favored in right now. They lost 2 of those last year.

Florida and Texas A&M will improve, but not next year. I think we beat both of those teams. Miami and Auburn games are tossup games. Georgia and Alabama are probable losses.

Long story short: We're going 10-2 at best and 8-4 at worst. I'll take the average and predict 9-3. Hopefully we can win the bowl game and get to 10 wins.

Stopped reading here. Everything that happens on the football field is directly on coach O. Remember this quote? "I'm the head coach, we're gonna do what I wanna do."

Enough said.

I thought defense would be the only part of football O would have a clue about and take some responsibility.

The depth was fine until Miles left.

State came out and rammed it down O's throat right out of halftime break.
Troy seemed to be the the team that tired, giving up 7 late in the 3rd, and 14 in the 4th.
