Pre Victor being eligible, this is probably it.

EDIT - switch Horsnby and Sampson

Hornsby (3) will start with Blakeney (2)

Sampson off the bench

Really glad to see Epps getting better. He can be a very valuable piece.

No. Hornsby in, Sampson out.

I think the only way Hornsby doesn't start is if he is injured. Otherwise, he will start for us.

Hornsby is too good to be on the bench.

Flip Hornsby and Sampson.

If you ever wanted a run and gun three lineup, Jones can now do that:

Quarterman
Blakeney
Hornsby
Patterson
Simmons

Think maybe an end of game scenario where you need a three. What do you do with that to match up?

That's just way too undersized of a lineup. We'd get abused against tall, physical teams. Plus Victor is solid and Epps is coming along nicely. There's no reason to not start either of them. They're also both quick enough to play in Jones' style

We are going to be in serious trouble on defense if Epps is starting at PF.

It's not like he's going against 6'10 NBA forwards each week. We'll have trouble defending true centers, but then agian, how many of those will we even play?

At the ends of halves it isn't going to make a difference in that respect.

Quarterman
Tone
Hornsby
Simmons
Malone

Epps
Patterson
Gray
Sampson
Bridge

After victor gets back he will start and Malone slides over to the pine and plays more situational/spot minutes

No one should be surprised when Malone starts for the first half of the season.

Hopefully, Darcy has fixed his foul trouble.

He should and its the right decision with how Victor is coming in, as well as Epps development.

But honestly who cares who starts games?

The finish will be
Quarterman
Tone
Hornsby/Epps matchup wise
Simmons
Victor

Pre Victor

PG: Quarterman, Gray
SG: Tone, Patterson
SF: Hornsby, Sampson
PF: Simmons, Epps, Bridge
C: Malone, Robinson

Victor Elgible

PG: Quarterman, Gray
SG: Tone, Patterson
SF: Hornsby, Sampson
PF: Simmons, Epps, Bridge
C: Victor, Malone, Robinson

I'm not worried about rebounding at all. Sometimes a disadvantage is an advantage. Rebounding isn't about size. It's about hustle and want to. From what I've seen all our guards hustle for rebounds. Small ball is becoming popular imagine how hard it's going to be for teams to keep up and rebound with our guards helping the bigs swarm the paint on those 50/50 balls. Then you have guys like Epps, Simmons, and Victor sprinting the floor like a deer with a heavier guy trying to keep up. Think about 40 minutes of hell. This LSU team will run opponents into the ground in the 2nd half. Not to mention we have depth and athleticism to press. With TQ being 6'6 against opposing PGs. It's going to be tough for them to run their offense.

Epps can shoot from three point range... The squad of Q, Hornsby, Blakeney, Epps and Simmons should be our best run and gun lineup.

Epps has fully passed up Malone at this point, there's no reason to play Malone unless we are just struggling that badly against a big big guy.
