All 3 starters for Maine are RH. I believe they run a few decent lefties in from the pen.

Jay obviously sees a lot in Thompson he likes. Which the potential is there for him to be a really good player. I also think they have a background relationship that might play into it from when Thompson was getting recruited.

You're the second poster to predict Crews batting fourth, and I'm not saying it's crazy, but if you had told me at the end of last season that Crews would be in the 4 hole, I sure would have thought that was crazy.

The fact that some of you here actually put dugas below the 4 hole is hilarious. The kid hit 66 rbi's and 19/20 bombs last year. Jesus.

Crews
Morgan
Doughty
Dugas
Berry

Thompson somewhere 6 thru 9

The rest are interchangeable.

Jay likes Thompson because he is the best all around SS option on this roster.

I like him as well.

Morgan 1B
Crews CF
Berry RF
Doughty 2B
Beloso DH
Thompson SS
Merrifield 3B
Milazzo C
Dugas LF

Another option could be Safford at 2B & move Doughty to 3B with Merrifield coming out.

I would call this the most likely.

quote:

1. 1B Morgan
2. CF Crews
3. 3B Berry
4. 2B Doughty
5. DH Beloso
6. SS Thompson
7. RF Jobert
8. C Milazzo
9. LF Dugas

That said there really are a lot of interchangeable parts on this roster to mix/match with.

This is what I’m guessing as well

So do I. I think he will turn heads this year and set himself up very well for next seasons draft.

So you are telling me Dugas is a better option in the 1-4 than Morgan, Crews, Berry, and Doughty?

If so, that is what is hilarious.

Very likely. Top 4 as expected. 5-7 good mix of power and line-drives, but could be K-prone against strong/experienced SP. Dugas in front of Milazzo is a must. Can't end any inning with Dugas standing on the on-deck circle when he could be batting with RISP. That would be absurd.

Can't wait for the first pitch. Fearless in the zone Tigers!

I kind of want bianco to be in the starting lineup just to see the melts on here
I think most fans wont be against it, but if goes 0-4 with 3Ks, everyone will want his head on a stick.

Has Millazo’s bat improved at all? If he hits below .200, no chance he sticks with Jay Johnson. Dugas batting 8th or 9th according to poster predictions tells you how stacked this lineup is gonna be. I like the top 4 to be Morgan, Doughty, Berry, Crews. I would think Dugas 5. After that , no clue.
