IF LSU and OU are in the same spot, LSU is in a lot of trouble. OU won't sniff the playoff hunt.

I agree HAVE TO beat Clemson not so much in mathematical reasons, but confidence, perception, future reasons. The season isn’t over but it’s like starting a 26mile marathon race, spraining an ankle in the first mile.

Well Phil Steele and Pate both have them in the playoffs. Steele has them as his number 1 surprise team and has 4 groups as the best in the sec.

9-3 miss playoffs, there are multiple games they can lose on the schedule.

We'll see. I say they won't make the playoffs. Right now, the preseason polls have them well out of the playoffs...16 in both the AP and ESPN polls. I wasn't impressed with them last year at all. And their Alabama win was 100% due to Jalen Milroe who singlehandedly presented them with 2 of their 3 TDs as I remember. If Alabama had not given that game away on pick 6 and another almost pick 6, the game would have been competitive. Milroe threw 3 INTs and the OU offense had to do almost squat to roll up 14 points.

Just go in with expectations for 9-3. Won’t hurt as bad when it happens. And if it happens to be better than that, it’ll be that much more exciting.

Absent going like 4-8, I just don't see him going anywhere for at least a few more years. LSU isn't paying a $50 million buyout. Maybe after year 6 or 7 if things still aren't going well.

10-2 would get us in the playoff.
To me, it all depends on the offensive line and how they perform. It's the biggest question mark on the team and critical to having a good football team.

10-2 should be the floor for this team.
9-3 and a bowl win buys BK another couple years. 8-4 puts him on the hot seat for 2026. 7-5, he needs to be put away at the end of the year.

I'm going to say 9-3, I just can't predict a win over Clemson I think our o-line will be very good by the end of the year but I think it will be a detriment the first game against Clemson's strength.
But 9-3 with a loss to Clemson and depending on who the other teams we lose to may well still get us in the playoffs and by that time I think our o-line will be playing it's best ball and we'll have a shot to compete with anyone.
