I have an apartment in the quarter, and the only bar I would add to this list are the 3 Johnny Whites. There are 2 on Bourbon and one on St. Louis just off Bourbon these bars and the chart room are by far the cheapest drinks in the quarter. However, the Chart room is cash only.

Lucy's is a 25-30yo crowd, it will probably be packed for the game. Walk-Ons/Happy's/Roux House is right there, but you can bet they will be packed too. College Gameday will have part of its crew set up on the corner of Loyola and Poydras, so anywhere in that area will work. Ernst is great (anywhere on/near Fulton is great). I would also throw in Capdeville, Handome Willy's (good local over 30 crowd), and the Rusty Nail.

Can't really go wrong if you stay away from bourbon.

I love how some jackasses are recommending bars in Carrolton, Mid City and the marigny like they are viable pre game options

Carousel Bar at the Monteleone

This is always fun. I mean, for sit and have drinks fun. Plus you can meet women staying there that is just about 30 feet to the elevator on the way to their room.

Case Deap, I think you're thinking of Cooter Browns.

Ernst Cafe

Also the Double Tree across from Harrahs just opened a WOW Wingery. Kinda small though.

Glad to see alot of people mentioning Lucys. Never been and that's where we plan on watching the game. My hotel is right fricking next door to Lucys Trying to steer clear of fricking Bourbon Street.

If they project the screen on the building next door it is good, but the tv's in the bar are pretty average.
Don't forget the District, which is right down the street as another good choice.
